It was a start of a Malaysian roll as Sehveetrraa Kumar took the title in three close games against Fayrouz Abouelkheir - the pair had beaten the top two seeds (both Egyptian) in the semi-finals.

Fayrouz is second seed in the 2019 G13 event.
