Oh my god it's you! You're back! It's great to see you! We never interacted, but I had a load of fun reading your blog back in the day. I scrolled through it for many hours! However much or little you're around nowadays, I'm glad you're back in any capacity. May your travels treat you well.

The reason Romin seemingly has a rush duel card before Yuga created rush duels is actually very simple. In the context of the Sevens anime, there doesn't seem to be any such thing as "rush duel cards" or "non rush duel cards." No one at any point comments on the cards changing form, and unlike other series we never see evidence of them changing. Yuga only changed the game rules. All of the cards people are using for them have always existed because that's the only cardpool this universe has.

Hmm, that’s a good point! You’re right, we’re never shown that the cards themselves were changed in any way. I think maybe the fact that they didn’t actually show us the face of any cards clearly before Yuga’s duel in the first episode might have contributed to it seeming like they did change, but there’s nothing in the show to say that they did.

I do wonder why Goha would choose to print “Rush Duel” on their cards in the first place though, as it seems like an odd thing to do unless it was referring to something specific. I dunno, maybe Yuga decided to name his style of dueling after the cards because of that?

Well, I was not planning on spending my lunch hour reading Meta on a Transformers series I hadn't thought about in five years, but you somehow managed to make that an appealing option.

I played Radiant Historia so long ago that I doubt I could hold a good conversation on it, but I would at least like to take the moment to commend your tastes in videogames. It's definitely a game that deserves more love and finding your tumblr was a pleasant surprise on that count.

I mean, it's kinda the core conceit of her story. If she were reborn into another world instead of Bleach, it just seemed like a similar thing would happen. Obviously it's not like that's strictly necessary, but it also seems like the sort of thing that is a fun theme to do variations on.

honestly if I decided to do something with Sayuri getting thrown into a different world, I probably wouldn’t redo the whole ‘sibling of villain’ thing. In TLM, she became a villain due to her love for a…well, an amoral dickhead. It might be fun to explore the possibility of her being reborn as the sister of an innocent ball of sunshine and becoming a villain anyway through her efforts to protect said innocent ball of sunshine from the messed up world they’re in.

You arc-V AU seems quite interesting. I would be interested in knowing more about the premise of it, but if you'd rather not go into details that's fine.

I’d love to talk about it a little! Especially since I don’t know if I’ve downright said what it’s about? The AU follows the unfortunate events that occur in a coliseum that forces captured mythical creatures to fight against both each other and gladiators. It’s kinda like a long, violent tournament story arc. The AU is not a direct reimagination of the anime by any means but it does reflect certain situations and themes.

The Arc-V haters can be quite annoying indeed. It can be hard to find places to talk about the series where you can't expect loads of vitriol.
