After using the course copy tool, instructors need to edit the start date of all announcements copied from a previous term. Otherwise, the start date for announcements is set to the beginning of the term. Edit the start date of each announcement to avoid overwhelming students the first time they login to their online course.
How To Upload Your Syllabus
Here is a short video tutorial demonstrating how to upoload the PDF version syllabus into your online classroom. Instructions have been included to upload a syllabus into a new course or a copied course. After receiving your approved syllabus, it will be necessary for you to upload the PDF document into your classroom.
Term 5 Online Course Access
Instructors now have access to a blank course shell for their Online Term 5 course(s) in Pearson LearningStudio (PLS). Instructors will again be using the course copy tool to duplicate their own course(s) this term.
The Copy Course Content tool empowers instructors to copy a course they previously taught or a sandbox course into the upcoming term. You may elect to copy your current course now or later in this term. We expect you copy your course no later than April 15th. You can only copy content to a blank course, so it’s important that you do not add any content to your Term 5 course before copying your course.
Beginning April 15th, CDE staff will begin conducting quality assurance checks. Each undergraduate course will be reviewed for an updated syllabus, accurate dates, course home updates, clear navigation and suitable content under the weekly unit areas. Instructors are expected to upload their own approved PDF formatted Syllabus.

Posting Announcements In PLS
