How do I delete a tee box I accidentally added to my course mapping?
There is actually no need to delete this extra tee box. The system just uses that to improve the satellite start point on that hole.
You will not be able to see this extra tee box within the app anyway, so it will not affect your play in any way.
I started editing my course, but want to start over. How can I delete the changes I made?
You can delete your changes by:
Logging into your account at www.swingbyswing.com
Then, click Courses in the top navigation bar
From here you will see your course in a pink box at the top of the screen. If you click the (X) and it will delete the edits you made.
How do I add my practice range?
To map your practice range, simply do the following: 1) Locate and open your course here: http://www.swingbyswing.com/courses 2) Under "Course Layout" switch it to Practice Range 3) From here click Edit practice range Once you are in the editing mode, the screen will prompt you on what next steps need to be taken to finish it up.
How do I set up and map a 27 hole course?
To properly add a 27-hole course you need to add 3 separate 9-hole courses. That way when you are on the course, you can select any two of the 9-hole courses to make up your 18-holes. If each of the 9-hole courses do not have individual names, they can be named as follows:
For example: Golf Course (1-9), Golf Course (10-18), Golf Course (19-27) etc.
This will also give any user the chance to play any of the 9 holes in any order.
To start adding your courses, simply go to http://www.swingbyswing.com/add/course.
You can also watch a tutorial video on how to map a course HERE
Can I add a course that is not a 9 or 18 hole course?
Unfortunately our system can only accommodate traditional 9 or 18 hole courses at this time. You can still add your course but will need to plot 9 or 18 holes, even if they do not exist for your actual course.
For example, if you have a 12 hole course, you will need to map it out in SbS as 18 holes. Plot holes 1-12 as they actually are. But then holes 13-18 will need to be randomly plot somewhere near the course just so the system will accept it.
How can I delete a duplicate course in your system?
If you have located a duplicate course in our database, we’d love to know about it! Notify us of the duplicate by doing the following:
Locate and open the duplicate course within the Swing by Swing application
From the “Course Info” screen, scroll down and select Duplicate Course
From here your phone will generate an email to us with all the needed information. Once we receive the email an admin here at SbS will take care of it as soon as possible.
How do I update the Google image of the course?
Unfortunately there is not a lot we can do about this. The product uses Google's satellite imagery and it is up to them to keep updating the photos and maps.
If you would like to request an updated image for Google, check out - https://earth.google.com/support/bin/request.py?&problem=billing&extra.customer=GEFree&contact_type=data
When they update their image, you will be able to map the course.
