Throwback Sunday by BernieLamberz
My boyfriend is from Trinidad and kept me from having any doubles until we reached to TT, and let me tell you he was right for that. By far D’ best thing I have tasted in Trinidad. We pulled up to a truck on the side of the road in Couva Savannah Village, Caroni, where I enjoyed two delicious doubles. Doubles are a common street food in Trinidad and Tobago. It is a sandwich made with two baras filled with curry channa. Topped with either mango, shadon beni, cucumber, coconut, garlic, onion, or tamarind chutney, or extra pepper sauce. I personally love spicy food but I can’t handle the peppers like locals here do so I recommend having a double with no pepper to start then having one with slight pepper and see which is best for you. But definitely stop at any double stand you won’t regret it 👌🏼🇹🇹
