ARE YOU STAYING HOME FROM WORK/SCHOOL?
I was still on mat leave when this started. I’m scheduled to go back to work on May 4. I can work from home, so it’ll probably be fine. The only unknown is how the person who’s been replacing me will train me and how I will get the work computer and stuff. But that’s a problem for ‘Later Daphné’!
IF YOU’RE STAYING HOME, WHO IS THERE WITH YOU?
I could copy/paste the same answer: “My husband (I didn’t know I was picking a partner for quarantine when I picked him, but I’m so happy I did!), and our two kids.” Oh and our dog!
Yes and no. While on mat leave: absolutely! I stay home and enjoy my precious time with my kids. But when I go back to work, I definitely go out more because I live in the suburbs, but work in the city where there’s always tons to see and do.
AN EVENT YOU WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT GOT CANCELLED?
There are so many!!! I usually go to a concert or show once a month, so I had tickets for a bunch of stuff that’s since been either cancelled or postponed. Tickets for Mika, Cats (the Broadway show), Cirque du Soleil, my favourite artist: Pierre Lapointe and the festivals in Montreal that are always amazing and are now cancelled like the Francofolies and the Jazz Fest. Our 8th wedding anniversary is also coming up in May and we normally would treat ourselves to a dinner at a fancy restaurant, but that doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen this year...
WHAT MOVIES HAVE YOU WATCHED RECENTLY?
I watched Banana Split with Dylan Sprouse. And I plan on watching Frozen 2 with my oldest. Otherwise, any movies I’ve watched recently are children’s movies with my kid: Dumbo (every. single. day), Cars, Happy Feet 2, Inside Out, Bambi, etc.
WHAT SHOWS ARE YOU WATCHING?
Zoey’s Infinite Playlist, Superstore, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Indebted (I love Adam Pally, he’s the only reason I’m watching. Well maybe Fran Dresher too)! ;-) And Riverdale (for better or worse) when it come back. I have a ton of stuff on my PVR, but I’ll usually read fanfics instead of watching TV when I have free time after the kids have gone to bed.
WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU LISTENING TO?
I do not have much time to listen to music other than Pierre Lapointe. We do have dance parties with the kids, but it’s to kids music!
Fanfiction. That’s it! That’s all I read. Any time I have for reading is spent reading the wonderful fanfics our Bughead fandom produces. You guys are a talented (and prolific! I’m so behind on like hundreds of fics) bunch!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR SELF-CARE?
Oh boy, I’m terrible at it. I am trying to keep my skin hydrated. Every since Lili shared about the Glow Recipe products, I bought a bunch and I’m obsessed with them! But that’s pretty much it.
