I came back from a family emergency with Covid, and went in to an Urgent Care, to do the responsible thing and report my case. As the CDC had advertised, I thought it was free. It was not, and while my insurance covered SOME, I'm paying $181 out of pocket. I was told, next time just do the at-home test. Apparently a pandemic that killed millions was just a fad, and we're more interested in making money than accurately tracking this. I'm not as mad at doctors and nurses, but the cost of medical care involves them too. It's wild to me, my first not-for-people-under-18 book is nearly ready to rock. Thanks to @cyncatgraphics doing the editing 'The Tooth Fairy' will probably be ready to rock this summer!
