i take off my skin to ease the pain. chew the layer to disintegrate it's hurt. find the centre in infinite vain. hold each piece and make small cuts. ugliness oozes out of each pore. dark, warm and full of burdens old. scrape scrape scrape. maybe this is enough but wait, there's more. don't let them see. tell no soul. put each part back together with a bandage. what? permanent cure? no. as long as it continues to work.

The midnights remind me,

Of all the wrongs I did,

All the miseries I caused.

Times when I wasn't sorry,

My past mistakes I failed to care about;

These pending apologies,

Will someday cause my demise.

My crimes won't let me live,

They strangle me to death each night,

Yet I survive just to hate myself,

I disappointed everyone who thought I was kind.

Now I'll wait,

For all the wrongs to come back to me in full circle,

For me to face the outcomes,

And be released from my blunders.
