I have been absolutely failing at my writing goals lately. Instead of staying home to edit #ToCraftANation I caught the homecoming parade. Instead of going home after the parade, to edit, I hung out and got to show my friend's kid the songs I wrote on YouTube. (They're part of #WarandChess and #TalesFromTheGishlanWood ) Then he sang a couple of lines for me. :) Then of course, I had to work. Which a lot of friends popped by. Really sweet times! Well, one of the friends I work with read my books. One of the fairies she had in her collection reminded her of one of the characters. So she just straight up gave me this lovely lady.🥰 Anyway, value your relationships. Anyway, if we're meeting for the first time: Here's me! I've been working on a young adult fantasy series since 2010, that takes place in the mythical world of Gishlan. The first book is #WarAndChess, the second is #TalesFromTheGishlanWood. In War and Chess, the country of Pelprose attacks Gishlan, seemingly unprovoked. Fourteen year old Princess Amethyst takes it upon herself to figure out why, and put a stop to it. Tales From the Gishlan Wood, is a more in depth look at Gishlan itself, the characters we saw in War and Chess, and sets the stage for future books. #TheToothFairy is just kind of it's own thing, as it is a NEW adult urban fantasy novel, which takes place both in Olsen County Wyoming, and Faerie. In 2020, dentist Marlene has to move back to her family's ranch, aaaand then she finds out she's a changeling... And her human counterpart is trapped in the world of Faerie. I do not recommend this book for younger readers because I use authentic cowgirl swear words.
