So decided to make this its own post instead of another reblog if you don't mind :>
"Softly" by Clairo — this song is kinda how they'd feel at first, having mostly confusion of their feelings for each other and how they should act upon it. Plus the pre chorus gives off "realizing how they feel for the other when it's too late and not having the time they need to confess, making them instead have to leave each other hanging and longing for that closure they need" vibes which is definitely what happened during the airport scene. God I have more to say like the pure yearning in this song but I think just listening to it would explain everything.
"4ever" by Clairo — oh wow this one is just an absolute vibe to listen to for me personally. For rodydeku, I think it expands on their fear of losing the other/ their feelings for the other and the bridge would be their reassurance from those like in the lyrics "Hold you tight, squeeze you right, tell you what I want" giving each other the comfort and the ability to communicate their fears. I think. Maybe I'm stretching since I haven't exactly gotten a good feel on this yet and just basing it off the lyrics.
And goodness do I get it, it was honestly pretty hard to explain but they definitely give off the rodydeku vibes.
