1) What are some typical uses of satellite imaging technology? From mapping applications to weather sites, how often do you interact with satellite imaging? How do you think our access to that data has change the way we see the world?

Answer: Typical uses of satellite imaging technology are insight on the weather,navigation and phones. Most certainly, my interaction with satellite imaging is often. Mainly, because I use my phone and check the weather on a day to day basis. Personally, our access to satellite imaging has changed our view on the world. Simply, because we have more intel on stuff like where we are and if a drastic weather is coming our way.

2)  In the film, there is an implication that the data used by developing countries may one day at a price. How likely is that the cattle ranches you see in the film will be able to afford the data they have come to depend on do you see any issues of power involved here?

Answer: Cattle ranches are least likely to afford the data they rely on. Yes, the issue of power involved is that they are going to have privately operated satellites. Which companies will begin to charge for data. From that, the fee will cause a problem for developing countries who will need to access that data.

3) How are cultural practices of one Society affecting another in this dynamic? Is it an exchange of information, or does the influence flow in only one direction? What are some of the future implications of that dynamic?

Answer: Cultural practices of one society affects another. From that, societies who have access to satellite imaging makes it very difficult for people who doesn’t have access. Mainly, because people rely on satellites for safety. The data is an exchange of information. Some of the future implications of this dynamic is that it will likely focus on the earth’s atmosphere and ocean data.
