Ship shape with Terrebus FC Sailing straight for the victory We’ve got the lot  At least we’re not  Scurvington missing another shot 

- Simple Gifts has become a pretty popular football chant although most of them are questionable at best  - I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how sails work oops apologies to my fellow mod sabbo!!  - Took reference from the show itself (those sweet sweet Go For Broke shots), the cover of Michael Palin’s Erebus, some random contemporary drawings, and the ever valuable Building Terror blog  - Literally had to check on the colour scheme - Ah man the more I stare at it the more I think should I drag that third sail on the second mast down - Genuinely spelled sail as ‘sale’ in a couple of my layers without realising - I spent way too much time on this and that was really because I have all my life wanted to make enamel pins purely because of the lil cardboard things they come with - The pins themselves aren’t available but other things, as always, are!

- This song is played every time Terrebus score a goal, so....not very often - Probably originated when Francis wanted to accept a friendly in Stromness and Sir John was like That is 800 miles, Francis! No I do not grant permission! - It might also be because it feels like it takes 800 miles for them to get anywhere near the opponent’s goal  - Available on redbubble!

Notes: 

- I’m sure the tune came from Somewhere else but I don’t know it so enjoy my blatant bias  - The chant is generally used for teams with uh two syllables hence the joke - Someone probably had this tattooed in a questionable region on a questionable night out - Buy on redbubble!

They used to sing this before John fucked off to Tuberculosis and now if you try to get it going you’ll get stared to death

Anyway Tom really fucking hates being called Tommy and has proposed, previously, that John be called Johnmas instead 

Remember when Steven Gerrard and the Liv boys sung this and got stick for it? Good times

Not gonna lie this is the best chant in the world (BLEASE WATCH THE LINK) and I wish United had a pair of siblings so I could sing this without constantly being guilt tripped for the Liv/City connections

I just watched the original song for the first time and I’m dying at the 90s-ness I love it
