Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom. 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 tablespoons milk. For rolling:. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom.
Instructions: Spices like cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves should be mixed with flour, baking powder, salt, and a whisk in a bowl. Put away. Melt the butter and mix in 1 1/2 cups of sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. One at a time, add the eggs and beat well after each one. Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix them in. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. Put the dough in the fridge for at least an hour, or until it is firm. Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. Put parchment paper on baking sheets. Put 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom in a small bowl. Mix them together to make a rolling dough. Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls with your hands. Cover all of the balls with the sugar-spice mix by rolling them in it. Spread the dough balls out on the baking sheets that have been prepared, leaving some space between them so that they can spread. Put it in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden and the middle is still a little soft. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to wire racks to cool all the way. With a coffee or tea, these Masala Chai Snickerdoodles are a great treat.
