I worked really hard on this costume and although it’s not perfect, I’m super happy with how it came out! I almost didn’t wear it, but so many people came running up to me at the convention excited about seeing a Natsume cosplayer that it made it worthwhile! 🌸

So I'm at CPAC for the first time and found two wonderful organizations here this year!

The first one where I'm supercheesing is the Log Cabin Republicans, a 40 year old organization dedicated to representing the LGBTQ community within the GOP. I've been a fan of them for a decade and was thrilled to finally meet them in person! I was happy to leave the small contribution that I was able to. I've walked away with a pin I'm proud to wear.

The second organization is fairly new, ACUF's Center for Criminal Justice Reform. I cannot accept that America is a disproportionately violent or evil society, but that our massive prison population stemmed from misguided policy. There is nothing incompatible with conservatism to cut frivolous laws and decentralize decision making for judges, and ensuring non-dangerous offenders can return home with a job and be accepted back into society.

A few weeks back, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, along with others, rolled out their hopes and expectations for a meaningful environmental political platform and direction for our country. Called the Green New Deal, it set forth the very ambitious goals we must all work to achieve in the hope of slowing down the change in our climate. A set of FAQsabout the deal mentioned “farting cows,” a reference to cutting back on the number of cows we herd in the hopes of reducing the enormous amounts of methane they put out into our atmosphere. There are people working on solutions for the cow methane problem;  some have seen positive results, such as adding seaweed to cows’ diets.

The GOP is lying about the #GreenNewDeal to the American people. They falsely claim the proposal will lead to cows, planes, trucks, and burgers being banned.

So, did any of you listen to Chump's psychotic CPAC rant where he spilled the beans? (mostly all over hisself)…  But yes, it is TRUE, the one "factoid" that he got right, in his whole deranged diatribe – (though we here in the Golden State were hoping to keep it a secret and surprise everyone)… We really are building a tunnel from Los Angeles to Hawaii!  Don't fret, no federal funds are involved, it's entirely funded by pop bottle returns and so far it's only been dug from Mar Vista to Venice… (That's Venice California, not that fake one in Italy!) Though we hope to be extending the tunnel soon, as far as the Marina then on to Catalina Island… All diggers are volunteers, just show up on the weekend and bring your own shovel… I was down there last weekend an' we all had a great time! Trump Cites Hate Group at Conservative Political Action Conference

At this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on March 2, President Donald Trump cited a study by anti-immigrant hate group Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) claiming that “illegal aliens are incarcerated at three times the rate of legal residents.”
