Cleaning. Miri's ship, which serves as her home, is nearly completely void of all bacteria. All flat surfaces are shined to a high sheen, without any sort of dust or miscellaneous objects to clutter the shelves and completely sterile. The floors always smell faintly like antiseptic.
Any waking hour that is not spent in utter dedication to the advancement of her bank account or socialization is spent ensuring a spotless environment.
This quest for clean is made much more difficult with a mostly toilet trained baby strill to deal with.

I love the graveyard shift!
...Not really.
Our—
[He hesitates, shaking his head, as if dismissing a thought.]
Sophia, the intelligence we have been using, has been essentially picking up Karlii and Mereel’s habits, and has decided it would like to join in on the fun. I spent most of my off-duty hours mending the havoc.
Particularly, I would like to know how you exactly handle such—
[He struggles to find the right word.]
Abberant behavior.
You mean your AI is basically doing what all AI eventually do that's why they're AI not VIs. *both brows rise a little before snickering softly, shaking her head*
I do what y'would do with a child. You explain which behavior you don't like and tell them to stop.
...Sophia is still shackled, right? Cause uh... EDI isn't so she generally does what she wants but since she ah, likes me and the crew she adjusts if we don't like something.
You could try restricting access to certain parts o' your network. Though as I said if she's learned this much she would probably be able t' get into parts you don't want simply by knowing you. This is why AI are mostly illegal in this galaxy.
In furthering my knowledge in how to handle certain technological adaptations, I was told to come to you and get "the lowdown" on this "Edi". She has quite the personality, I am told.
Oh hey, not-my-Mal.
EDI? Heh, yeah. T' be honest, too much of one. Though as long as it doesn't interfere in my day t' day, that's all right.
Er... what exactly d'you want t' know? Hell, y'could talk t' her yourself if y'want.
I apologize for my tardiness it has been somewhat busy on my end, but I wanted to belatedly thank you for the gift. Karlii insisted that the two of you both equally found it and presented it as such. I've only just had time now to start attempting to put it together-- I will likely keep it in my more personal quarters to keep questions from arising-- it is a shame, it seems to be a very fine model, as it likely the actual vessel itself.
Oh, hey, Mal Who Isn't My Mal. Glad y'liked it. And hah don't worry about it. I have to keep mine in my quarters, too. Haven't been able to get any new ones, either. Plastic and stuff is in high demand with the war an' all.
But yeah. Pretty nice model, innit?
I-- this is not in my nature to seek a mediator, but I have come to believe I have made some unknown offense to our mutual friend. Any attempts to engage her have been met with brusque words and outright avoidance.
//He stares at his terminal. To cover for Kar, or not to cover...;;
Hmm...
//Better safe than sorry;;
Well... I mean, she's a very busy woman. While she is excellent at multitasking, I've reason to believe lately it's been stressful for her. I would say, perhaps a peace offering of something edible that she enjoys. Maybe some alcohol... anything that you would usually do to placate her.
I don't think you've made offense. Probably just caught her at a bad time. It's possible her brusque words and avoidance was her trying not to verbally throttle you... she often does the same to me although you've known her for longer so she's less inclined to tell you to shove off.
I'll talk to her and see if I can figure out why she snipped at you, and let her know that you're looking to make amends.
