We had amazing weather in Boston over the weekend -- 65F/18C -- so I got to get out and play radio for a bit. It was super windy, so there was no point in using the mic, but CW pretty much always works. Propagation was iffy and I had 30M drop on my in the middle of a nice ragchew with K8FE. But for me, the best was on Sunday. I heard PY6TV calling CQ DX on 20M. That's a Brazilian call and I haven't worked much DX since I've moved up to Boston. The odds weren't good that I could make the Q, of course. The Super Antenna MP1 is pretty good as compromise antennas go, but it's still a compromise antenna, and I'm only running 100W. But it costs nothing to sent my call, and I was pleased that he came back to me! That's about 4200 miles/6800 kilometers. I'm pretty pleased with that! #HamRadio #SuperAntenna #ICOM #CQDX (at Boston, Massachusetts) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7Q_9ZfgUTN/?igshid=1xmx1i34k1pot
