Duelling is a practise in  which two or more wizards or witches engage in combat under the condition that only magical means could be used. The combatants face each other and bow. After bowing the two would then attempt to disarm, stun, injure, defeat each other in order to force submission, and thus a winner is decided.

The plot line of this class follows Professor Yong pairing up his students for a graded duelling match. 

Like this post if you wish to participate, this is not mandatory. There will be a follow up post on Friday (May 18) of your muse and his/her partner (randomly assigned). You must then interact with your partner (this can be through a simple ask interaction, paragraph thread, or script thread– it’s all up to you) as they are paired up to duel. It’s also up to you and your partner to decide which muse will win (or it can end up into a tie). Your muse can cry over their victory, get caught cheating, sulk in a corner because they lost, hate on their partner in the hallways, or even end up practicing really hard and end up being a duelling master– it’s completely up to you!

He didn’t expect the class to give out so many different answers. David looks down, smiling as he listens to each and every student giving their answers. That was until two students decides to mention the dwarf planet, Pluto. A small chuckle escapes his lips and he walks behind the table. “Well... Pluto is debatable.” He opens up the drawer and pulls out two stickers.

“Pluto is technically no longer a planet, hence why I said eight planets instead of nine,” he walks up to the two students ( @crelijah , @crxclaire ), handing them the stickers. “It was nice that you two still consider Pluto as one of the planets.” Walking back to the front of the class, he leans against the table slightly, “According to the muggles studies, Pluto has been reclassified as a dwarf planet as of 2006.”

David looks at his class, “For your homework, please write a small essay about why you have chosen the planet and your basic knowledge of it. If you don’t know much about your planet, you can always write what you would like to learn more about it.”

He raises a hand, in order to catch the class’s attention once more. “Before I let you guys go, I would like to say that I have extra point system. If you can impress me somehow, I will be putting a star sticker on the board behind me. By the end of the year, I will calculate all the points together, and they will be rewarded as bonus points for your house.” He winks and chuckles softly, slightly embarrassed by his actions. “I hope you guys will enjoy my class as much as I enjoy teaching you about Astronomy. Class dismissed.”

[ Hello! For this proportion of the assignment, please refer here if you have forgotten your planet. I’m actually glad that so many people participated in this! Anyways, even though David said to write an essay, I really do not expect you to write an essay. You can do whatever you feel like doing, whether or not it’s a big 10 thousand word essay to 10-20 words, there is no word limit. Remember that I am extremely chill so I don’t expect you to do that much. You do whatever you feel comfortable in doing. Every post that is either reblogged/created (please do tag me so I know haha) will result in 20 points. The last date to submit/complete this will be on April 4. Hello, my sweet kids!

I am very aware everyone is very busy with tons of homework, and I’m afraid it’s too much for your poor little heads. I’m also aware my class is not the only one you guys take so I would feel very sad to put even more pressure on you guys. Therefore, I decided to give you guys a long homework break. It means I won’t be assigning you any work for a while.

For those who crave the points, you will always be welcomed in my office. I’ll give you some fun stuff to do in exchange for points. Also, from time to time I might do something small for everyone to get points. How does it sound?

Hello everyone it’s homework time! As always it will be a simple edit for a certain theme and then everyone can vote on which edit they like best. The theme this time is "spring" so as long as your edit portrays the loveliness of spring it's all good to go. And it will be due in two weeks time on April 24th. Enjoy!

The Patronus is the most famous defensive charm. The aim is to produce a silvery-white guardian or protector, which takes the form of an animal. As a pure, protective magical concentration of happiness and hope, the Patronus represents that which is hidden, unknown but necessary within the personality.

HOUSE POINTS OPPORTUNITY!

You must write a simple post/ headcanon post about your muse’s Patronus charm or a solo post about your muse casting his or her Patronus charm. Remember that not everyone can cast their Patronus especially those of wicked descent. Feel free to use Professor Yong or the recent event in your solo post. There is no minimum or maximum word count for your post, you’re free to be as creative as you want.

Love potions are brews which cause the drinker to become infatuated or obsessed with the person who gave it to them. Since Amortentia is the most powerful, and somewhat dangerous brew, the potion will be diluted to fit the mild tonic in case students might redistribute it. 

HOUSE POINTS OPPORTUNITY!

The plot line of this class follows a certain mischievous student slipping Ashwinder eggs with Bird eggs, thus making the brew “fly” and seep through the cauldron and inhaled by one student in a pair assigned, making him/her randomly infatuated with someone for 24 hours.  

Like this post if you wish to participate, this is not mandatory. There will be a follow up post after 48 hours of your muse and his/her partner (randomly assigned). You must then interact with your partner (this can be through a simple ask interaction, paragraph thread, or script thread-- it’s all up to you) with one helplessly under the Amortentia effect. Your muse can fall in love with his/her partner while the other one reacts, or one can fall in love with the school cat or just randomly anyone while the other one tries to snap his/her partner out of it-- it’s completely up to you!  You may refer to a video here and here for reference.
