In the most recent episode, Matt revealed that Essek’s intelligence based speed “just barely” surpassed Caleb’s. And I believe I’ve found a HUGE discovery.

The stat limit on a player character is normally 20, outside of class features and magic items.

Now, maybe Essek gets to break the rules a bit cus he’s an NPC. He’s already done so with his dunamancy class features.

But MAYBE, he’s gotten an increase through magical means. Like say the Tome of Clear Thought. Or...

Think about it. Essek has been so squeamish to shed clothing and reveal his body to the Might Nein. Sure, one might think that’s just a normal reaction. But maybe... it’s because

You know, maybe we didn’t get quite as much shadowgast content tonight as the last couple of episodes BUT we still got a wink and the firebolts. And also, squishy wizard Essek went into that battle without any healing and could have died and he didn’t, so, it’s still a win.
