fuck the cerberus assembly all my homies hate the cerberus assembly
In no universe does someone awkwardly stand in front of their door and tell the person who walked them home from dinner that they owe them breakfast and not mean that as an invitation inside. Essek tried so hard, he worked every social bone in his introvert body, good for you baby!
I can hear god talking to us!
Nott “definitely paying attention” The Brave
dagger is cool but Taliesin’s Zemnian accent sounds more Percy than German lol
If that Ogre guy had won the fight in the 4 corners and Jester would've lost the diamond, imagine the GUILT she would've felt when Cad fell. imagine the immense PAIN she'd feel as a reminder that she gave away the chance at saving him.
Or imagine if she hadn't had revivify prepared, or if she had spent that other third level slot, and then he got killed.
Just imagine the guilt of everyone, starting with Jester, if Caduceus had perma-died.
Imagine Nott, knowing she dealt the final blow that caused the death of another one of their friends. Just, imagine the immense chain of events that could've happened had that revivify not been an option.
Imagine the spark of absolute dread as Yasha came to, seeing her friends on the ground, and learning that she was partially responsible- only to see that one of her own party members had fallen and lost his life while she was charmed by someone and something she DETESTS.
Imagine Beau, doing everything in her power to take this thing down, and realizing that she hadn't been patient. She had let her impulses get the better of her, and ran into that room, and because of it her teammates were deadlocked with these beasts... and Caduceus DIED trying to protect them.
Imagine Caleb, spending most of the fight unconscious himself. Blaming himself because his own falls burned caduceus's spell slots- leaving him unable to protect himself when he lost health. Caleb fell, and couldn't protect his new friend. The feeling that he was responsible for another death.
imagine Fjord, just waking up as Yasha laid her healing hands on him. Him, instead of Caduceus- Caduceus the HEALER. After deciding it was "ride or die" and they all had to stick in it together. He should've done more- he should have taken a risk.
Imagine the immense impact on the team as a whole. I mean, they lost molly 30 Episodes ago, and it has affected all of them- even though it wasn't really anyone's fault. Cad's death would've had so much room for guilt, blame, and self hatred among all of the Nein... Just... Imagine.
And then be thankful, thank the traveler and the wild mother and Jester and the dice gods and revivify and Dairon and whoever else for that. I'm still in shock.
