fuck it trauma team posting. collection of various thoughts I have about CR-S01

- CR-S01’s characterization and English voice drive me up a fucking wall because of how VASTLY they differ from his appearance and vibe. Come on. He’s got such a good setup. Emo sadboy twink with pretty eyes and a tragic backstory. Prodigal surgeon. Amnesiac prisoner accused of a horrible crime that he can’t remember if he did or not.

- And then he opens his mouth and it’s the most bland boring emotionless middle age sounding white man voice you’ve ever heard. I think it’s primarily jarring because the voice sounds much much older than he is

- Also his entire character arc being “Woah… what if… I saved lives???” Is kind of bland to begin with and gets even more bland once you figure out that he didn’t even kill anyone

- For a while I didn’t understand why everyone was calling him ‘kid’, since he doesn’t look particularly young compared to everyone else (though I think this is just a fault in the art style, kinda hard to differentiate ages with it). I don’t think they ever explicitly mention his age in TT but I did the math and he’s like 24. So them constantly talking about how young and skilled he is actually does make sense considering most surgeons are like 29-30 at the youngest. But this was not shown well either

- Maybe this is just fault of his sort of unclear/nonexistent personality but I do not understand WHYY he chose to continue taking the blame for Albert’s crime once he learned about what really happened. He seems to a have a lot of painful feelings towards being treated like a prisoner and a murderer so it seems bizarre that he’d choose to continue serving his sentence and doing the surgeries to lighten it just so that he could hide Albert’s involvement

- Like I get that he was fond of Albert obviously for treating him kindly when his birth parents considered him a monster but bro literally framed him and got him sentenced to 250 years in prison!!! Like the peak of your emotions towards that should not just be ‘disappointed’ Erhard!!!!

- I guess the main takeaway is that he feels like suuuuch wasted potential especially since the game makes him out to be such a prominent and important character
