Well, been a long while since I've touched base with this crossover.

So, sit down for a minute. I have a story.

Many years back, as a young growing artist, I had an aversion to drawing any live action characters. Mainly because I wasn't confident I could translate their appearances into my style and have them still be recognizable. Which was a sad thing for me at the time because I adored Back to the Future and always wanted to do art for it but alas, the idea of drawing Marty or Doc terrified me. (Especially Doc since another thing I had an aversion to, drawing older characters. I wasn't confident at all in that area.) So, one of my fall backs was to do crossovers and insert characters I was more comfortable with drawing. Which is where these two come in.

Trauma Center is the franchise that got me to draw humans more often than I originally did. So, with being in my entry craze for the franchise, it was only a matter of time before I decided to do a crossover with Back to the Future and select characters for it. Originally, I had someone else for Marty, that being an original character of mine that was the son of Derek Stiles but said character is now part of a different story line, so instead we get good ol' CR-S01 who is a perfect match up to be the Marty to Gabe's Doc. And so here we are with the return of the Trauma to the Future AU.

I'm actually not in charge of this AU anymore since I handed off creative development to my sister since CR is one of her favorite characters and I've got my hands full with the real Doc and Marty. So, she gets to have fun with these two goobers.

Honestly, it was nice to draw these two with my current skills and actually make Gabe look old enough to be Doc. (I used to keep him young looking. Things change when you get more confident.)

And... yeah. Just fun art and a chance to revisit something. <33 May do more doodles for this one but I'll see how I feel.

You ever wonder how CR-S01 feels about his prison number?

Like, I know we all nickname him CR, his real name is Erhard Muller. You ever think he questions why no one told him his real name? He had to be in the system, they'd be able to match his medical records if they were making sure he wasn't infected... and his father was well known, we know for a fact CR was *living bait*.

Was this just to dehumanize him further?

Another twisted punishment for a crime, a boy of 16 years old couldn't have done on that scale?

And no one at Resurgam calls him it. They only refer to him as Kid, Doctor, or "You" if your name is Maria. Even Esha calls him "Kiddo", (which I love that?) which says they outright refused to use it. Maybe officially, when introducing him to his patients, but I don't picture them using it casually.

Maybe Gabe shortened it to CR at some point, so CR was used to it as a nickname, but when he remembered everything...

I can't help but picture how much *relief* he must've had rush over him, when he realized he had a name.

He had a full name.

Erhard Muller.

Erhard

Muller.

Not CR-S01.

Not "murderer"

Not "Kid"

Erhard Muller.

Dr. Erhard Muller.

And then once again, realizing even THAT was stolen... and unncessarily too.
