so !! outfit wise, think of the sweater in the middle but in pale white, with the jacket thrown over, blue boyfriend jeans, and the boots. she’s got her hair thrown into a sidebraid, and seeing as she only wears jewelry that’s simple, she’s got on her typical jewelry !! usually she’ll only go with the earrings, but she opted to wear the necklaces and bracelets too. yet while she usually wears clothes that’s simple in appearance, it always is made of the finest material, which screams wealth.
EMERALD HUES SCRUTINIZED everyone who lounged around the bonfire, perfectly fluffed quill resting between lithe digits and round glasses sitting atop the bridge of her buttoned nose. tonight would be interesting for sure, and she had no time to waste ! she had to find the juiciest scoop of the evening, or her visit to the idiotic event would’ve been for nothing. her eyes landed upon curious hands going lower than they should and soft giggles coming from a pair of students which caused the corner of her plump brims to curl upwards. ALAS ! her moment of victory didn’t last long for someone had interrupted her, making her lose sight of the teens. “ GOSH DARN IT !” she exclaimed, eyebrows meeting in the middle of her forehead in a look of utter anger. “ what the hell do you think you’re doing, you doofus ?”
three months have passed since house cadence has hosted their last ball. rumors and whispers grew loud: is there a reason for their absence as hosts? with the invitations comes an explanation. amidst helping house kyne feel at home, their royal designers and decorators have given their all to welcome those seeking shelter at home. though what does it entail? what awaits their many guests on the night of friday, the 11th july?
THE LOCATION
the "night of stars" is hosted in the grand palace of house cadence. their designers have come up with a theme – every single guest and house should shine like their very own stars. four large, connected rooms have been decorated and prepared to fit the theme:
the grand throne room: small jewels have been lovingly assembled throughout the entire three months, all in varying shades of yellow, orange and red, shining like light. honoring house cadence and kir, the country of light, warm colors are spread all throughout the room.
the hall of ghosts: hanging from the ceiling are small diamond stars. with minor lights positioned so that they shine like the real things, all grand lights have been distinguished for the night, to honor house kyne and themis, the country of darkness.
the palace gardens: all wells have been polished, all small ponds are filled with fish and frogs and all flowers in the royal gardens are blue. planted specifically to honor house starr and corrin, country of tides, blue decorations and lanterns shine through the night.
the great hall: house fannar and hiberna, country of hoarfrost, find their representation in the great hall, where fake snow has been spread on the ground, and glimmering diamond snowflakes hang from the ceiling – but not only that. a group of ballet dancer dance every hour, dressed in whites and light blues. the whole time, loyal servants gently let fake snow rain on the guests through a system crafted specifically for this occasion.
DRESSCODE
to properly follow the theme, house cadence has issued a dress code. every guest shall dress according to their origin. please note that dresses must be floor length to be considered formal. for colors, see blow. for inspiration, head to our pinterest.

this event starts today, on july 7th. feel free to post even threads starting now. please do not post any starters for outside of the event until it is other. participation is mandatory, but threads outside of the event can be continued. please do prioritize event threads! :)
if you need a reason why your commoner would attend, don't fret to reach out to the main! they could be working there, or sneak in, or have a friend that takes them! all members of royal families are officially invited (and so would be their personal guards, advisors, etc!).
