I have to say, keeping up with c3 weekly while bingeing campaign two (currently on episode 20) and watching the animated show of vox machina is a total mindfuck I’m confused most of the time and I love it
I know they’re gonna try out 2 different group names at the ball, but I’m really waiting for a Lemonade Mouth moment where someone insults them and they all go “dang that’s a pretty cool name”
Someone PLEASE draft up a kickass flyer for “Ashton’s Punk Mask-Crafting Party”

CR 3 ep 12 rambling but oh my god I wanna reach into the campaign and help style Dorian for this ball bc this man was so excited for a fun night and now he's decided he has to be 100% business and it breaks my heart! You can have both!
Like hun get that chiffon shirt back right this second, wear the new coat over but leave it open as far down as you dare. Open up the coat sleeves to let the chiffon show through. Wear that homemade mask bc it sounds awesome and very fitting for an air genasi anyways.
And WEAR THE DAMN PEARLS
Dorian has so clearly built himself in opposition of his family and who they are. Even to the detail of his different ball outfits; one asymmetrical, handcrafted, adaptable, creative, the other rigid, non-descript, militaristic and handed down from someone else. It must kill him, a little to know that becoming Brontë is the logical choice but I think a part of him doesn't understand that his friends see Brontë as the mask and Dorian as the true face rather than the other way around. He said; Balls are a wonderful way to introduce yourself to a community and solidify an identity and then they asked him to use an identity he has turned away from, one he is uncomfortable with. To me, Dorian discarding his old mask and outfit in Eshtaross's Manor is Dorian trying to convince himself that his friends want, no even need, him to be Brontë Secondsun Wyvernwind. Not just for this ball but for other adventures. All of the time maybe. And I know it's reactionary thinking born from hurt and disappointment but in that moment I do think he believes it.
