Goddammit am I once again gonna go back on my word and buy the new pokemon? It's starting to look like a yes OTL
This mother's day I can't help but feel satisfied knowing I made the right choice not wanting children of my own.
On the other side of that, I feel guilt & shame that I can't properly care for my mother who did her absolute best to raise and nurture me.
My mom has Alzheimer's. She is no longer the creative, humorous bright spot in my life. She is mean. She is stubborn. She is helpless. I can't stand the smell of feces. I tend to block out anything that isn't whatever task I'm focused on in the moment. I struggle with depression. Still, I'm all mom has. And I'm trying. But most days I can't help but feel I'm failing her.
I never wanted to be a mother.
Tell me why this silly ass Star Wars AU popped into my head first thing in the morning. Racing AU
The Jedi are a collective of racers that tout honor on the track, racing to the best of your ability, good sportsmanship, etc. They'd have several charities.
Anakin is a poor kid who works in Watto's garage to make money to help out his single mom. Ofc Watto under pays him. And ofc he's like a gifted mechanic. One day Qui Gon & Kenobi come in for help on their car, meet Anakin, scout him, w/e. He becomes a mechanic for them to better help his mom but turns out he's a helluva driver too.
Palpatine couldn't care less about honor & sportsmanship and thinks races should be rigged to draw in more money. He convinces Anakin that this would help him provide better for his family too. This leads to one of the worst pile up accidents in racing history which claims the lives of several racers/jedi.
Padme finds out Anakin was behind it & leaves him. She doesn't want her kids involved in the racing circuit. But Leia thinks racing should be managed better & use its funds responsibly while Luke turns out to be just as good as his dad.
idk is this anything??
