After my last post, since I couldn't find anything for it, I'm coining the term "cracked angst". It's taking an angst idea and putting a more "crack-y" or non-angst element to it. For instance, giving a canonically pretty passive, almost timid, character the kind of traits that would be completely out of left field in the game/movie/book/ect. Like with what I did, replaced!Mc is a very angsty concept and, instead of them being completely distraught and depressed over "being replaced by the ones they loves and trusted the most!", I basically made them so gd salty about it that they make sure to keep reminding the brothers that they are basically vicious dogs, held back from attacking by the chain of being executed for disobeying the order and wishes of his majesty.
