They back-stab her... used her and manipulated her to get their own goal... She loved them with all of her Purity Heart.. Nearly died at the moment but the 1up Mushroom came to her, the gift that Gustavo gave to her as a treat... little he would know that gift saved her but coming back to life cost a price... Her Purity Heart cracked and soul not pure anymore... she got her revenge... her first murder.... her Homicide...

Love this au but do they get a happy ending in cannon? Also I'd like to know more about soul stitching it sounds interesting

They do get happy endings in canon! This au is just an alternate version

With the soul stitching, it's something only beings with chaos magic can do (meaning only gods and maybe a human who's practice magic for a very long time). With Em and Adya, Adya takes the cracked fragments of her own soul and stitches them to Em's, because she can't have a corporeal form without a soul. Normally to get a new form, Adya would have to ask for one from a higher god (likely Dharnte (goddess of humanity) or someone with a similar job), but since she never went back to visit the other gods, she has to use a soul-made substitute.

The soul stitching is also why Em takes on physical traits Adya had, like her eyes. It's also why the 2 have the heart shaped scars on their wrists.

Soul-stitching between gods and humans isn't something that happens often, as most gods think theyre above mortals and its dangerous to expose humans to chaos magic and let it flow through them. It was ok with Em and Adya though because Em's physiology is different from a mesonians (earthlings in half heart are more cartoon-y than mesonians)

So for the life of me I cannot find the original post to link to.

But I think, in a way these stones r pretty great analogy for people. We’ve all got holes. We all feel like we’re missing something - And that is a valid feeling in every way.

But it’s cute because we’ve been broken and we’ve loved and we’ve lost. Yet, we keep going.

And it’s those cracks in our broken hearts that let the light in. It’s those cracks. Those terrible sad times in life that let us dream up these faery worlds and acts of good and everything in between to make that change. To help break that cycle of hurt and build our kids up by telling them stories which teach some form of empathy.
