Gonna ramble here about. Uh. ShadowLily in the Black Charm AU/Cracked Mirror AU. I don't get detailed here much, but here's the barebones.
I can see ShadowLily starting off more like Shadow Milk deciding that, post-by ep 8 (I can't remember the fucjing ep oh goodddd) he's gonna fuck with PV. So, he tracks down White Lily. After all, what is better then causing torment then to steal stupid Pure Vanilla's crush? The blonde stole his souljam, so, we steal his girl.
It starts off as that, at first. Shadow Milk does, of course, act like he's changing. He's not. He's trying to get White Lily's guard down. This all is before she tries to find Silent Salt, obviously.
It's messy, it's full of arguments, and everyone hates Shadow Milk. But WL and SM talk a lot, with WL guarded as fuck. The faeries are freaking the fuck out, SM's minions rejoicing.
And then Shadow Milk falls head first for White Lily.
And he freaks.
Shadow Milk is the type to ignore his emotions and when he can't ignore them? Crashes out hard.
He dissappears for days, weeks even, and White Lily is... concerned. The time Shadow Milk comes back, he has realised two things: One, there is no way he can ignore this. He genuinely can't, so he pretends. Two... uh, so, Shadow Milk is camonically posessive. Right?
Yeah. You can see where this is going.
A looooot of back and forth happens, with Shadow Milk trying to pull White Lily onto his side, and also to genuinely get into a relationship with her — meanwhile, White Lily finds herself trying to redeem him
And then White Lily has to go and confront Silent Salt. You can guess how this goes. Poorly, so very poorly.
Silent Salt is lowkey losing his mind. He wants to have his revenge, but Freedom itself had decided Deceit was a good fit for a partner???? Hello???
Shadow Milk has never been in love this much before — he kinda tweaked out during White Lily's Awakening (he got nerfed by Silent Salt in the trials and he's reeling from finding out he betrayed them all)
White Lily is... conflicted, as fuck. Still, she's a stubborn woman and knows what she wants. (And it's a blue fuck of a jester.)
There's drama, conflict, and then as things cone to a weird standstill — Dark Enchantress. Yeah.
... all I say that it's angst territory. White Lily and Silent Salt plan as usual, but Shadow Milk is left in the dark. Everything happens as usual into rp 15, except SS goes back onto WL's deal with him to NOT kill SM. He does try. It doesn't work.
In this, we can say Dark Enchantress' spell didn't take as much as it did, so the Beasts ARE alive, but very very weak.
And then White Lily comes in with a steel chair and kills Dark Enchantress. Ofc, she starts fading and before anyone can react, Shadow Milk freaks out. Badly.
You're telling him his wife (they aren't even married but I'm telling you SM would be that guy) is dying? Fuck you! He's the (ex) Fount of Knowledge! He knows what to do.
Shadow Milk literally breaks his remaining Souljam into two and gives the half to White Lily and binds her to him. She lives but is weakened, and Shadow Milk nearly crumbles too. Theyre both fucked up. Shadow Milk does NOT care. His girl is alive.
Torturing Pure Vanilla here a bit, but this is lowkey so fucking funny to me. Imagine you want to befriend the fuck who psychologically tortured you and that guy sooooo pissed he somehow got with the girl you're in a situationship with who redeemed his ass through love (literally). I'd kms I can't lie.
So, from this point, shenanigans happen. The Ancients takes eachothers counterparts to try and redeem since they cant take another's souljam, only their own/counterpart's (DC and GC are giving PV and WL the WORST side eye imaginable) while White Lily and Shadow Milk are lowkey making out. They aren't, but those two being by each other FEELS like it. Freaks.
Anyways....blah blah blah — good end. Then Black Charm is born. Might make some more? Not sure. But I do have an outline on three others!
Black Charm is ofc, Shadow Lily's kid. (Again, love them.)
Spiceberry and Cloudberry are Burning Spice's kids with bits of GC and HB— Burning Spice got curious about having his own child, and Hollyberry offered to help him since she had experience with Royal Berry and Golden Cheese decided to join in since she wanted a kid too. HB and GC ended up giving some of her dough over to stabilise the process.
Pale Extract — Pure Vanilla's kid but has been adopted by Mystic Flour because she looked at everyone having kids and went 'yeah why not'. Neither she nor Pure Vanilla are together romantically. This is like a... two friends raising a kid situation. Also, Mystic Flour can't make herself children because she's literally solid flour in this au. That shit won't work.
I subscribe to "they bake to have offspring" here. But that they CAN reproduce sexually but asexual reproduction is much more normal and less painful. Like, if you could reproduce on your own and magically? Yeah, I'd do that, too. (If rather die, then go through childbirth. That's scary.) However it's more common for cookies to band together and add as much dough they can for a child. Stabilises them.
