On Tour: Fink
There are musicians I can hardly remember seeing at all and then there are musicians like Fink where I recall every minute and how deeply moved I was like it just happened yesterday although it’s been some years since I saw them perform “Looking Too Closely” at the Apple Store in Berlin. It was heavy on my feelings. Then I saw him at Heimathafen, Berlin, and for quite some time I didn’t see him live. The concert at Heimathafen was so intense and perfect, I was scared they wouldn’t be able to recreate this intensity if on the next gig. For this tour the trio has an extended the band with a second drummer and who knows what else. What might sound a little too much at first sounds pretty perfect and like another very emotional evening as you can tell from the video below. “This Isn’t A Mistake” was filmed during the production rehearsals for the current tour. The video itself already sends me into some sort of emotional roller coaster, so I guess I can be sure it’ll all good and perfect again.
“This is my Mistake” is taken from Fink’s sixth studio album “Resurgam”, It was released a few weeks ago and Fin Greenall once again manages to find the right words for my emotions whether it’s “Cracks Appear” or “Word To The Wise”. Too close to me to able to write about it without revealing all of my insides.
