Bird knick knack repainting - 2019 edition. Usually I do this in January when I’m still burned out from the calendar illustrations… but a certain retailer didn’t have their spring / summer decor shit out promptly after Christmas. Thus I had to wait to see what I would be redoing this year until they had actually stocked the merchandise.
I ran across the original species these were supposed to be a couple weeks ago and then forgot the name (upon a small amount of detective work - I believe it’s supposed to be an American bushtit). Yeah, I looked at them and was like; wow, those are really tiny Northern mockingbirds? Well, now they’re black-throated blue warblers; 2 males, 1 female.
