I’ve been real busy doing craft shows all month, every weekend and sometimes 2 a week. Here’s a few pictures of my booth at some of the shows.

Where I'll Be:

Holiday Craft Fair - I'm joining the crew at the Val Air Ballroom this Saturday, December 6 from 11-6 PM. This is a great show with a lot of cool artists -- I shopped it last year and came away with bags and bags of gifts (for myself and others)

Brilliant Crafts and Wares: A truly tiny art show at the Yacht Club in Des Moines on Saturday, December 13 from 11-5PM. Here's a Facebook link.

Highland Park Holiday Shop Hop: I have my cosmic cups paintings up in The Little Book in Highland Park -- and I'll host a pop up there on Sunday, December 14 from 11-3PM.

It's gonna be a wild two weeks! But I finished all my assignments -- only have one final left! -- and I'm excited to have a bit of space to meet some people, make some art...and make some money, too, cause that tuition bill comes due again in January!

Starting to think about my upcoming show with American Craft Made Baltimore. There’s a lot to plan and create ahead of a big show like this. I’ve learned over the years that starting as early as possible gives me the most flexibility to create my best work. The more time I have the more likely I am to take a creative risk and try something new. It seems that the closer a deadline approaches I start to focus on tried and true pieces and spend more of my time working on things I know have worked in the past. I’m really excited to be bringing some of the new work I created over the last few months to this show. Trying to stay consistent with my studio time every day!

One of a Kind Show On Line, Nov. 12 - Dec. 6, 2020

I have loved shopping at the One of the Kind Show in downtown Chicago, but as we can’t all gather together these days, they have gone online. You see here some of the range of contemporary fashion on offer, but there is jewelry, art, ceramics, as well. If like me, you tend to pick up gifts while you travel, and you can’t travel this year, the online shows are the alternative.

More creatures for Handmade With Heart in Oshawa this weekend on November 30th, and the Winter Art and Craft Market in Toronto the following week on December 7th and 8th! Ponies and turtles and bears, oh my! And a little bun too!

i’m gonna try vendoring at my local renaissance faire this fall. i’ve heard from a lot of people at other craft shows that my candles would do well there so i’m going for it! this application is intimidating though. i have to decorate my booth in tudor style?? wish me luck!

anybody been to renaissance faires? any advice?
