DIY Bespoke Your NiQua at Century City Mall
By: xoxo MrsMartinez
I visited Century City Mall earlier today and spotted NiQua (pronounced as Ni-ka) Pop-up Store. It is my favorite homegrown company that offers classic and contemporary design leather goods. Aside from showcasing its latest collection, the brand is also conducting a workshop/craft party dubbed as DIY Bespoke Your NiQua.
this is me at 11AM ready for a crafty morning ; )
Apron & Handbag : NiQua
I signed up and tried my hand in sewing. I am not an artistic person so a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) project is a bit challenging for me. The struggle is real but in the end, when I received my monogrammed envelope, I felt a sense of accomplishment.
DIY Bespoke Your NiQua
Materials
I chose a two-toned color for my leather envelope, you can also opt for a single color to your liking. Every part needs to be hand-sewn together. It was truly a labor of love.

After the workshop, I rewarded myself with a #BeautifulBreakfast from Early Bird Breakfast Club and Juice Hut Manila. All that sewing drained my energy... not ; p

After our successful Workshop Party, we followed it right away with a collaboration with Nica Cosio and Mia Sison of Craft Party PH for a morning of fun and DIY-ing our way to creativity!
But before our workshop day, we met up with Constance Styling’s team to make our venue as pretty as possible.
Ohhh I cannot express how grateful I am for them. They are so fun to work with; their team was so efficient!
Anyway, workshop day! Our team prepared the attendees’ kits. Isn’t it pretty?
Meet our collaborators for this workshop, Nica and Mia! (That’s me in the middle) :D
Even our popcorn matches with our theme! :D
Mia started with the introduction about Craft Party PH’s background. Speaking of background, did I mention how pretty their background is? HAHA
The exciting part was applying what we’ve learned! Look how serious they are!
Pastry Amoire delivered their special apple cinnamon sticky buns all the way from BF Homes!! YUM!!
Our attendees enjoyed their sticky buns. I can’t wait to try out the other flavors and of course, Mia of Juice Hut Manila partnered our buns with her healthy and delicious juices! :D
One for The Road gave these cute goodies.
Istorya gave our gift certificates and people from Southern Folk PH gave 12 of these special cacao.
Special handmade accessories and leather goodies from The Workroom PH.
We raffled our sponsors’ products. We had a lot and I’m so thankful for them. Even our volunteers and contributors were able to bring home some stuff. (Yay!)
Mileng of Get Filed brought some of their very nifty stuff as well!
Anyway, back to the workshop, after making their own stamps, they were asked to make use of it and make their own stationary or postcards. The stamping and painting session got more serious when we announced that Bunnie of Niqua will be choosing two of the best plate and stationary designs and will have a chance to win a very special Color Your Niqua bag!
This is Bunnie, sharing the story behind their new collection called, “Scarte”. I was so touched to hear the story behind it. We beat the same heart, Bunnie! May God bless your shop!
Mia, Nica and I were spazzing over this because their bags are gorgeous and it’s not everyday that you get to win a special leather bag!!
Did I mention that you can actually customize it? Our winners, Meg and Yka will choose the bag design and size, and even put monograms on it! Oh my! How awesome is that?
Niqua was so generous that Mia, Nica and I were given our own bags too! (Which I will blog about soon! Hee!) Thank you so much, Bunnie! Oh! Niqua also gave out 2 leather passport holders for some of the attendees/volunteers.
After our fun raffle, everyone took as many pictures as they can to make the most out of the beautiful set up!
Special thanks to our collaborators, Nica and Mia for wholeheartedly sharing your time and talent. (We are overjoyed with this workshop that we’re starting to plan another collaboration! Watch out for that!)
To my contributors, Kinskie, Sam and Jane. Thanks for helping me! Big big help! I can’t wait to meet all of the other contributors. ;)
To my friends and volunteers, Nica said it best: we are solid! I’m blessed to have you guys!
To our partners, thank you for making this workshop extra fun, special, festive and meaningful.
