Just got home from an amazing and productive week of holiday at my dear friend @froekenbi s house. This piece was inspired by the lovely time we had stitching and watching animal documentaries on her couch. (Love ya bro!) Also because octopodes are awesome and I can't wait for them to take over the planet. This is the first time I tried this cutaway technique, I don't know if it's a thing, I just felt like using two different fabrics and did...something. This is one of the largest pieces I have done (about 33x28cm) and I will not frame it, because I feel like making a seacreature quilt at some point maybe. Cheers. 19/? This is Niall. They are the drummer of @thespookschool , a lovely band from Scotland. I got to see them last winter in Cologne. While I no longer support the headlining band of that night, I still treasure the memories, mostly because I got to discover this sweet little band tackeling important issues and playing the kind of queer songs that make you never wanna stop kissing your love. Niall is also star of the “Now What Do I Call Sexy?” calendar, this year with the theme “seasoniall vegetables”, where I got the reference for this picture from. (They are probably also a lot more thungs that I don’t know of, so definitely go check them out) 18/? done
I tried stitching @justinsanesolo of @antiflag …I mean…the nose is a lil wonky, but I think the rest turned out alright. Anti-Flag are a very fucking amazing band (Might notice I like them if you look at my account). Artist like them are very much needed, especially in times where right wing populism and straight out fascism seem to be on the rise again.

Stitching with a cup of tea next to you, good music playing and fog outside the window is the most relaxing thing ever. Holy shit I love autumn.
