“Why did I get stuck with the short end of the gene stick?!”
A shout interrupted Hitoshi’s Minecraft stream. The chat erupted in emojis and comments as he stopped the game for a second. Hitoshi looked up from his switch towards the camera. Huh? Pausing for a moment as he heard a yell from the kitchen. Was that (Y/n)?
“Almost got it….God damn it!”
That was definitely (Y/n). Chuckling to himself, he checked out the chat answering a couple of questions before hearing another shout. “I’ll be right back guys,” he grins before muting his mic and putting the BRB banner he had for his channel.
Making his way down the hallway, he snickers as he sees you kneeling on the countertop, trying to reach something in the back of the top shelf. He knew you were a little “height challenged” and that sometimes things would be out of reach, assuming he didn’t place objects higher up just to see you try to get them down. “Hey, kitten. Need help?”
“Shit! Toshi, don’t scare me like that! Yeah, sorry, I’m tryna marinate the chicken for next week, but the stupid jerk seasoning is in the back and I can’t reach it,” you whine.
“Alright, alright, I’ll get it.” Grabbing the homemade vacuum-sealed seasoning bottle, he hands it to you, chuckling as you pout. “Why so fussy, kitty?”
“Why are you so tall?” you huff.
“Why are you so short?” he counters, chuckling at your faux appalled face.
“Giraffe.”
“Mouse.”
“I’ll fight you.”
“Just like you did back at U.A.?”
“Yeah, and I won,” you boast.
“No you didn’t,” he teases.
“No no, I remember it like it was yesterday. We were doing group training. You were paired up with that kid with the sugar quirk, I think his name was Sato.,” you explain.
“Yeah, the two on one match. I distinctly remember Sato holding you down to steal the flag and we won.”
“No, I used my Quirk on you and made you use yours on Sato. Then you both gave your flags to me and I won.”
You both playfully glared at each other before Hitoshi pulled away, realizing he was still streaming. “Shit, I’m still streaming!” he shouts before running back to his gaming room. Unmuting and turning his screen back on, he rolled his eyes as he heard your muffled laughter from the doorway.
“Sorry guys, I’m back. Had to help my girlfriend out,” he rambles.
«The queen herself?! Are we ever gonna see her?»
“I don’t think she will ever do a face reveal but she has made appearances in past streams and she runs a faceless channel.”
“Toshi, are you talking about me to your fans??”
Chuckling as the comments section and tip erupt at the sound of your voice.
“Hey kitten,” he smiles. You wave at him as you hold your switch in your hand. “You joining the realm?”
“I’m joining to beat you up. Also, I wanna check on the house we built. What are you doing in there anyways?”
“Oh nothing really, just some mining, farming, putting your dog in obsidian,” he jokes.
“If you dare hurt Nova, I’m putting Astro in the nether,” you grumble.
“You wouldn’t dare….”
“Take Nova out of obsidian.”
Hitoshi sticks his tongue out at you and nudges your Minecraft dog away from the tiny prison Hitoshi built out of coal.
“I lied, but I’m glad I got you on.”
“You lucky I love you, ‘toshi.”
Hitoshi smiles at you while the chat blows up in heart-related emojis.
“I love you too. And your amazing cooking.”
“Aww, Toshi!”
“You know you could’ve just used your quirk, right?”

Ringing. A sharp ringing in your ears as your head twinges. Trying to move around, a clinking sound comes from your wrist once your brain registers the cool metal of the quirk-canceling cuffs chaining you to the brick wall behind you. The newfound inability to move your legs once you see they are also chained together. ‘What the hell? Where am I?’
A flickering overhead light illuminated your surroundings. ‘Last thing I remember was going to the c—’
Footsteps approached the dingy cell you were in. Glaring up at your captor, your face dropped once you recognized them. An auburn-haired man with cold, piercing green eyes glared down at you with a sinister smile, making the chill in your cell much more evident. He was the guy who was seen cursing Katsuki during one of his interviews, threatening him.
“This isn't real.”
You watched the shadowy figure become closer and closer to where you’ve woken up, almost completely paralyzed on that ratty old mattress, barely able to make a sound, to whisper to yourself, a futile attempt to try and calm your racing heart.
“Just...j-just a nightmare. Come on, Y/N...wake up, this...isn't...real!”
“Oh, Y/N…” The figure leans over them, just like a nightmare would and yet somehow not at all. “You think this is a dream?”
They hold up a syringe that's already been emptied, and your blood runs cold. Now you can feel that the side of your neck is sore, and now...now you can't speak at all, every muscle locked.
“I can assure you,” The villain chuckles, smirking so wide it shows their teeth. “This is very real.”
Cheap fluorescent lighting filled the cell of the once-famous villain Tomura Shigaraki, aka Tenko Shimura. A shaggy mop of cyan looked up at the door, a grimace forming his dry lips.
“Well, well, well,” Shigaraki giggled. “If it isn’t the number 3 hero. What brings you here, Dynamight? Or should I say… Bakugou?”
Bakugou crossed his arms over his chest and let out a ‘tsk.’ His eye twitched in irritation at the villain saying his name. His hand curled tightly into fists, nails digging into his skin. “I’m gonna make this short and sweet shit head, where’s Y/N?”
Shigaraki barked out a laugh, “You mean that trophy bitch you keep on the back burner? Wouldn’t they be at home cooking you a meal or whatever it is they do?” A devilish smirk appeared on his face, quickly transforming into a thoughtful look. “Not much publicity on that one; I wonder what they’re like….”
“Cut the shit crusty eyes! I know you have them! Give them up, and I won’t blast your ass to hell!” his voice echoes throughout the walls.
Shigaraki’s shoulders bounced humorlessly as he threw back his head and laughed. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. If you’re saying your partner has been kidnapped, then I don’t know what to tell you,” he shrugged, taking a deep pause.
Bakugo tapped his foot impatiently. “Hey, remember when we kidnapped you?”
BLAM!
The table flew into the air, landing on the other side of the room with a large thump as Bakugou lunged at a chained Shigaraki. Shigaraki smirked before putting on a show of calling for the guards; no one came as his desperate cries filled the visiting hall. Just the perks of being the number three hero. All the air was knocked out of Shigaraki as he was slammed against the wall, heat bubbling on his skin as Bakugo’s quirk was half activated. “Did I hit a nerve? Or are you that much of a bit-“ His words were cut off with a desperate gasp of air as Bakugo’s grip went from his chest to his throat, successfully blocking off Shigaraki’s airway. “I am not. Playing. Games.” Bakugo growled through clenched teeth, banging Shigaraki’s head against the wall as he did so.
Miles away, the cold chill of the cell started to seep into Y/N’s bones, being kidnapped during a humid July evening only to be thrown in a freezer-like cell. ‘I swear I’m gonna drain every atom of oxygen out of this bastard the second I get out of here!’ Y/N struggled in her chains, stiffening at the footsteps approaching her cell.
“You hold your head up rather high for someone with a collar around your throat. You know he’s never coming for you, right?”
“Bullshit, he loves me. He’s coming—”
A loud explosion filled your ears as the wall behind him crumbled, revealing light and a silhouette of her savior. “Suki!” you cry out before struggling in your chains even more, “Get me out of here!”
A cloud of smoke covers your vision as you hear grunts and explosions. “Bakugou?” you whimper before relaxing as he comes into your view. “Oh, thank God, you’re okay! W-What happened? Where is he?”
“He’s gone,” Bakugou huffs. “Are you alright?”
You nod as Katsuki unshackles you before leading you out of the warehouse. You make your way home, and it feels like months have passed after you got kidnapped. Katsuki’s seemed different after he brought you back home. Constantly snapping at you, acting secretive, leaving the room whenever his phone rang, and coming home later than usual.
Katsuki calls you over to the couch one day, asking to talk, and he doesn’t seem like his soft yet arrogant self, considering he’s weirdly avoiding eye contact. “Sit down, Y/N. We need to talk,” he sighs.
Looking at him with slight worry, you move over to him, reaching to cup his face and pulling your hand back when he turns his head. “Hmm? What's wrong, Suki?” you smile, trying to make him feel better.
“This is gonna be hard to hear, so I suggest you sit down.”
You sit down on the couch next to him, ready to listen to what he has to say before those five words cause your world to come crumbling down.
“I’ve… I’ve been having an affair.”
You stare at him in shock, mouth agape, as your mind struggles to comprehend what he just told you. “You...you’re lying! If this is a joke, Katsuki Bakugou, this isn’t fucking funny!” you yell, getting up from the couch, glaring at him.
“I’m not, Y/N. I’m so sorry….”
“Bullshit! Sorry would’ve kept your ass loyal, Katsuki! Who is she, Katsuki? How long has this been going on?!”
“It doesn’t matter who it is, Y/N. What matters is what’s happening now. And right now, I want a divorce. More specifically, I want you to file for divorce.”
“What? Wait, why me?” you stammer before your eyes harden with anger understanding his reasons. “Oh, so you can keep up your perfect hero appearance?”
Katsuki sighs to himself, running a hand through his jagged-edged hair. “I’m sorry, Y/N. I need to look good for the public Y/N. It’ll look messy if I file for divorce from my so-called ‘perfect’ partner.”
“It is messy! You're the one who caused this shit! Who is she? What's so great about her?!”
“She doesn’t flinch whenever I touch her. She’s smart, pretty, and she loves me Y/N! What does it matter to you?! What? Are you gonna hunt her down and mess her up?” Katauki huffs and glares at you. “Just… for once in your life, just listen. I don’t love you anymore. I want you to file for divorce. Now.”
“You know what? Fine, go be happy with your whore Katsuki! Just get out!” you sob as Katsuki rolls his eyes, dropping his keys in the bowl along with his wedding ring before leaving. Just as you feel the tears fall down your face as Katsuki leaves your once happy home, admitting he cheated on you and he was going to leave you for her, you hear him.
“Well, well, well. You put on such an entertaining performance, my dear. What was it like? Judging by your tears, I can tell it must’ve been heartbreaking. Would you like to go again? We’ll have so much fun together, I promise~.”
You stare at him in terror as you think back to those “visions” you had of Katsuki. ‘It never happened? B-But it seemed so realistic...h-he was cheating. We were gonna get a divorce. He cheated on me! That couldn’t have been him. He would never!’
“I swear to God if Bakugou doesn’t kill you when he finds me, I will!” you snap, struggling in your chains as you tremble softly, tears falling onto the concrete floor.
“Shh, pretty one. There’s no need to say such vulgar words at me. I’m keeping you safe from that inconsiderate, irresponsible bastard of a man you decided to marry. Well, until he finds us, you wanna go again?”
Time moves differently when you’re mentally tortured like this. It’s like months and years go by, yet you’ve only been under for a matter of minutes. Somehow this is worse than what villains claim torture in Tartarus is like. It’s not just physical pain; it’s emotional, neurological. Like repeatedly being waterboarded and told you’re not good enough while you're under. You have no idea how long you’ve been trapped here with this maniac.
‘Maybe he’s right. Bakugou still hasn’t found me yet...probably off with some bitch glad that I’m not a nuisance in his life anymore…’ you think to yourself, slowly starting to give up.
While you were constantly going in and out, scene moving onto the next, your captor sat and watched your cloudy eyes. Your emotionless face and limp body accompany him in this physical world. What could've possibly led him down this path of torturing an innocent person such as yourself? He wasn't so sure himself as he rested his head into his palm, watching your anguished mind come up with some of the sweetest yet cruelest scenarios. Watching your spirit break worse than the last.
At some point, he stopped the show. Thus far into the show you were provided, you were weeping for your now-deceased husband. Holding onto his battered body while destruction surrounded you both and the cries of the innocent were bellowing out. He had just defeated the enemy, but the cost to do so was gruesome. You yelled in emotional agony, only to be stopped hearing the slow amused clapping by him. “Why are you doing this? What have I done to be tormented again and again and ag-”
“Oh, stop your complaining.” He cut you off as he looked down at you with eyes dulled with boredom, but his amused, wicked grin remained.
“You're innocent. In fact, I have no quarrels with you or your husband. Even though he is the very reason you're here, to begin with, my dear.” He taunted, sitting upon his throne of rubble twirling the syringe in his hand. And your eyes widened as you realized he had no remorse, no empathy. He was a complete sociopath. Bastard.
At first, he believed himself to be doing this as revenge for his lost family. Oh, his sweet family, the only ones who truly loved and accepted him for who he truly was, even if he couldn't provide the same for them. But with them gone, he no longer had to worry for them. He didn't have to cause them suffering simply because he wasn't normal as this society wanted him to be. Yes, them being gone was the best thing that could've happened, and for that, he thanked the hero that utterly destroyed his dull life and gave birth to a supposed color-filled adventure. “In fact, I should thank him. He's given my life a new purpose. I no longer have to be concerned with anyone, and I can spread my show for many others to come!~” He spread his arms wide, standing up before he stopped. “Oh? Our main character has finally arrived to rescue his damsel in distress. Quiet, my dear, the show is about to begin.” He announced, turning around, seemingly looking at nothing, leaving you confused and nervous. What if this was another trick? Another twisted scenario he’s come up with?
The sounds of rushed footsteps fill the desolate warehouse as the lights dim before showing only on him, leaving you in the dark. Sounds of laughter, explosions, the almost silent hiss of smoke bombs, and curses flood your senses as you try to make out what’s happening around you. Once the smoke cleared, your captor was gone, and all that was left was silence. Before you can muster a single thought, you heard your husband’s voice ringing through, “Y/N! The fuck are you??!” He shouted aggressively, but you could detect the concern in his voice. Mustering all the strength, you had all you could do was strain out a broken, soft, “I’m here. Help. Please help me.” Thankfully that was enough for Bakugou as he immediately charged into the direction of where you were. When he found you, you appeared physically unharmed for the most part, but he was more concerned with your shaken form. He removed the chains from your ankles and the cuffs from your wrists, whispering soft gruntled apologies and words of comfort as you sobbed into his shoulder, clenching onto his hero costume.
Carrying you out of the warehouse, he takes you to an EMT as the police rush inside the warehouse. “Suki? I-Is it really you?” you whimper, clinging onto him. “Don’t go, please, not again….”
Katsuki looks down at you, confusion and anger written across his face, but his eyes show immense concern. “Shh, ‘m here, I’m here,” he whispers, rubbing your back. “Nobody’s gonna hurt you ever again, I promise. Look at me, firecracker, I’ve gotcha now.”
As Katsuki lays you on the stretcher, he holds your hand as he climbs inside with you, caressing your forehead as you’re driven away to the hospital.

“Babe! I’m home!” Y/N happily shouts as she opens the door.
Silence greeted her, filling her ears as she came inside and set the groceries down onto the sleek marble counter.
“Babe?” She shouted once again, wandering around the house as she looked for the one she called her lover.
Abruptly, hands went over Y/N’s ears, covering her sensitive ear canals as she crouched onto the ground.
A scream ripped through the silence, tearing away all of Y/N’s joy with it. What the hell was that? Y/N continued to cover her ears as the screams turned into words. Sentences falling out of a person’s mouth and being spoken to another human being. Which human being, she had no idea. But holy hell, did they sound mad.
The voice was feminine, although it was hard to tell over all the screaming. Suddenly, there was a pounding of a person angrily coming down the stairs. Following behind the footsteps were quicker, lighter steps.
“Baby, let’s talk about this!”
Wait- what? Did she stumble into the wrong home?
“No, you… two-timing bastard!!”
Suddenly, she could make out the feminine figure at the bottom of the staircase, and trailing behind her is…
“I’m not gonna repeat myself, Akhi! I want nothing to do with you anymore! You have a girlfriend?!”
Y/N got out of her crouching position, standing up on shaky legs. She quietly tip-toed to a corner, her body shaking with every step.
”No! I’m not gonna debate about this. You were having an affair with me. While you had a girlfriend?” She crossed her arms over her chest. “That is so low. Even for you!”
“Fuck my girlfriend! She’s a nobody. I want you to be in my life.”
“Bullshit! Where’s this chick now anyways, huh? I want to meet her!”
“What? Why?”
“So I can tell her how much of a piece of shit you are!”
She felt now was a good time to reveal herself. Wanting to meet this chick as well and know who she is.
“Um…” Y/N rounded the corner and came into the space they were in. “What’s going on?”
“Who are you?”
“I’m Akhi’s girlfriend...who are you?”
“I’m sorry. Akhi’s been cheating on you for about five months now. He’s a bastard, and you should dump his sorry ass before it’s too late. Also, I recognized you from your channel. Your food looks so good!”
“Oh, um, thank you, but you said he’s been cheating on me?” Turning towards her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend, she fights the rising anger and tears building within. “Akhi, why? How could you think this wouldn’t hurt me?””
“Oh, please!” He snapped, hands retreating into the pockets of his hoodie as he brought his face closer to hers. “Isn’t it obvious? You’re pathetic! Look at yourself, you think I’d ever been satisfied with you?”
“But— but I… I loved you!” Sadness was quickly transforming into despair.
“Well, guess what! It was worth nothing. Just. like. You!”
“Jesus Christ, is that really how you talk to women?!” The blonde snapped at the man.
“Of course not, baby. I would never treat you like that. You know I love you.” He grabbed her palms, wrapping her soft little ones into his calloused larger ones. He pressed his lips to her hands, bringing her balled fists close to his face.
Y/N felt physically ill. She couldn’t watch as the love of her life was having an affair with… with some random girl she didn’t even know! Maybe it was better that way, that way she wouldn’t get hurt. Well… that’s not entirely fair. She’s still hurt, perhaps even worse now that Akhi thought it was acceptable to cheat on her with complete strangers. How did these two even meet? What’s going to happen now? Holy shit, was she going to have to kick Akhi out?! Or even worse—
BAM!
Y/N’s thoughts were interrupted as the blonde's hand made a harsh connection with Akhi’s face. Y/N was so lost in her thoughts at the time she didn’t see the girl rip her hands out of Akhi’s and exhale a disgusted noise.
“You’re sick!” She turned on her heel and gestured for y/n to follow her. “Y/N! Come! Now!”
“Uh… what?” Her jaw sank to the floor.
“You heard me!”
Not wanting to anger the woman further, she followed the woman out the door, leaving a flabbergasted and angry Akhi behind. Just for good measure, Y/N slammed the door.
The two girls silently walked down the walkway to a red convertible, the screams of Akhi becoming muffled through the closed door.
“Oh uh, I’m sorry I didn’t ask earlier, but what’s your name?”
“The name’s Pony Tsunotori! Nice to make your acquaintance!”
“Y/N? Y/N!” a voice calls out, bringing her back to the present.
“Hmm? Oh, hey Pony, were you asking me something? I’m sorry I zoned out for a moment.”
“I was gonna ask whether you wanted to go get some apple chicken curry or we could go to that bakery you like so much. But you look upset. What’s wrong? Were you thinking about him again?”
Life was crazy like that. She never expected that the person that her ex was cheating on her with would become one of her closest friends.
“Yeah, I dunno why? It just came up.”
“Don’t think about that dirtbag? Is he still bothering you? It’s been three years since you broke up and kicked him out. Fucking dirtbag…”
Smiling at her, (Y/N) is filled with happiness knowing she has such a good friend, despite the circumstances that they met under. “I just realized I have a lot of editing to do! Oh my! Before I go, I forgot that I made this for you,” she stammers. Taking out two small boxes from her bag, she hands them over to her friend and giggles at her reaction when she sees the apple salad and invisible apple cake. “I know how much you love apples, so I made this. Do you like it?”
Pony looks down at the food and stands up, making her way over to (Y/N). “This looks and smells SO good (Y/N)! I can’t wait for your next video!” she squeals, hugging you.
“You can be in it if you want to. I don’t mind having a guest. Besides, you can help me, and it could be an apple-themed video! But I do have one condition!”
“Anything!”
“You help me buy groceries after work for the week we shoot the video.”
“Deal!”
Hearing her phone go off, she checks it as she leaves the park with her friend. Her stomach flutters as she sees the notification. “It was fun hanging out with you today, Pony, but I gotta go! Same time next week?”
“Of course! Bye (Y/N)!”
“I’ll call you!”
She walked happily towards her convertible, a pep in her step as she made her way towards the vehicle, looking at her phone. She hummed quietly to herself, a tune she used to listen to quite often back in high school.
Plop!
In almost an instant, she was on the floor, her purse right beside her as she landed on the cold surface of the concrete. Her hands turned into fists as her bum made contact with the floor, hoping that curling her hands would take away some of the embarrassment. It was clear she bumped into someone, but the question is… who?
“Ouch!”
“Sorry! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to!”
In an instant, muscular arms were helping you up. You scanned the man apologizing profusely up and down. Standing before you was a hunk of a man, rock-hard chest, chiseled abs, and what you noted most importantly was that his shirt was off. Sweat made his pecs shine with moisture.
Wow, this dude is hot!
“Urgh… you’re okay! I’m good!” Y/N laughed.
“I’m sorry, dude, I didn’t even see you coming!”
(E/C) hues meet with carmine ones. She thought they were beautiful, they reminded her of fresh strawberries from the most organic farm on the planet, the fruit rich in color and flavor. Her eyes trailed higher to his hair. His hair was the same color and styled in a spike-like fashion. Y/N thought it was pretty cool, to be honest. His voice was as smooth as butter and as sweet as honey. She’s never seen a man like the one in front of her before.
“It’s fine! I’m fine! Are you okay? I hit you pretty hard.”
“I can take a hit, no worries. But yeah, I’ll be okay.”
“Okay! As long as you’re good. Sorry again for the trouble.”
“No worries, dude! Cya around!”
She waved at the stranger, admiring his other features as he jogged away.
‘He was cute….’ she thinks, making her way to her car to answer the DM she got.
“Um, excuse me?” A mysterious man tapped on Eijirou’s shoulder.
The bodybuilder turned around, his eyes twinkling with innocence as he smiled at the guy.
“Hey! What’s up, dude?” He asked.
“I was just wondering if you knew (Y/N)?”
“Yeah! Of course! Did you want to get her autograph or something? I heard she’s doing a panel with the famous chef Katsuki Bakugou in a couple minutes.”
“Uh- actually, no. I came to warn you. She’s bad news. I’ve heard she’s bought like half of her subscribers and actually doesn’t bake the dishes herself. I also heard she’s super mean off-camera and trolls her subs.”
Kirishima’s right eye twitched at the “news.” The mysterious man’s hands went into his pockets as Eijirou studied the man for the first time since looking at him. The first thing he noticed was the man’s hoodie. The second thing he saw was his lifeless eyes.
Incel vibes.
Eijirou did NOT like this guy.
“Where did you hear that from?” Eijirou couldn’t stop the emotions that flooded into his voice, making his pitch go an octave higher.
“Yknow, the grapevine.” He shrugged nonchalantly.
At this point: Eijirou was getting annoyed with the man. Suppose he was a random stranger tapping him on the shoulder to ask for directions, an autograph, or something similar. In that case, that’d be perfectly okay. But no, instead, it was some incel-looking creep looking to slander his new friend! He will not stand for it.
“Look, dude, I don’t know who you are, but you clearly don’t know (Y/N).”
“Whatever,” The man shrugged and clenched his fists, clearly bothered by Eijirou’s positive attitude. “It’s not my fault if she ends up being more of a piece of shit than she already is.”
“The only piece of shit that I see here is you.”
Muffled voices filled (Y/N) ’s ears as she let out a defeated groan.
“Where am I?” She whispered, her throat unable to go above a groan.
Her hand went to her neck, tears starting to well in her eyes from the pain. Her skin felt clammy and cold as she realized she wasn’t in the attire she wore when she attended the convention—the convention! Memories flooded back to her, a headache starting to form and her stomach muscles starting to contract in sickness as she remembered what happened. She doesn’t understand, she made her dish, did the panel, then she was out with her friends and she… passed out? But why? And why does her body feel like it’s on fire? Especially her throat.
Suddenly, she felt hyper-aware of her surroundings. The first thing she noticed was the bright lights on the ceiling burning her retinas. The second thing she noticed was her friends, standing around her hospital bed making light conversation, all pairs of eyes on her.
“W-what happened?” She asked meekly.
At that moment, a man dressed in a white lab coat and mask walked into the room with a clipboard in hand and a woman dressed in similar attire by his side.
“You collapsed at the convention, miss.” He answered. “Your friends here rushed you to the hospital.”
She looked up to see familiar faces, Hitoshi, Pony, and Eijirou.
“Good thing they did, too.” He continued. “You could have been fatally injured if they hadn’t brought you in sooner.”
“What?!” Hitoshi, Eijirou, and Pony exclaimed.
The doctor hummed in response, walking over to the side of the bed with a clipboard and pen in hand.
“Nurse,” he called. “Make sure the young lady’s medication is taken care of.”
The tall woman nodded and left the room.
“Medication?” She tilted her head.
The nurse walked back in and handed the medication to Hitoshi.
“Make sure she takes this twice a day, every day, for the next three days once she’s discharged, alright?”
Hitoshi nodded and gave you a small smile. Pony let out a loud, exaggerated cry.
“(Y/N)!” She cried. “When I heard you were in the hospital, I was so worried!”
“Thanks, Pony. So, who else knows?” (Y/N) asked.
“Just your inner circle and new friends. Don’t worry, the public knows nothing yet,” Eijrou reassured her.
“Err… Not too sure about that, big guy,” Hitoshi responded, holding out his phone.
Eijirou’s eyes went wide at the screen. Pony moved over to Eijirou’s side to look at the screen. She gasped, and her hands flew to her mouth.
“What?” (Y/N) asked.
“Umm… take a look.” Hitoshi handed you his phone.
You couldn’t help the screech that was torn from your throat as you looked at the screen.
“What the hell?! Ow…” she whines, clutching at her neck.
“Careful, donut, we don’t want you straining your voice,” Hitoshi comforted her.
“But, this is pretty bad,” Eijirou added.
Hitoshi shot a glare towards the artificial redhead. The man mouthing ‘what’ as a response.
Hearing his phone ring, Eijirou put a finger up before slipping out of the room.
“Eijirou Kirishima! Where are you?!” Mina yells over the phone. “Izuku’s worried sick about Hitoshi and (Y/N), and we can’t find Katsuki cause they locked down the hall! What the actual fuck is going on?”
“I'm at the hospital with Hitoshi and one of (Y/N)'s friends. (Y/N) had an allergic reaction to the food she and Bakubro made. Katsuki thinks some foul play is involved, and honestly, I believe him. After I dropped off (Y/N) at their panel, this weird guy came up to me. I thought he was a fan, but he started talking a lot of shit about her. It rubbed me the wrong way, honestly.”
“Hold on, text the group chat. They need to know about this.”
“Done! Now what?”
“Now you get back in that hospital room and stay with her!” Mina rambled. “She needs your support right now! Go be a good friend! Go, go, go, go!”
“Right! You guys go help Katsuki!”
Hitoshi steps out into the hall just as Eijirou mentioned the weird fan. Waiting until he hangs up, he makes his presence known.
“Not to eavesdrop,” The purple-haired boy started. “but I heard you mention a weird guy talking shit about her?”
Eijirou nodded. “Yeah, it was super weird! At first, he seemed nice, but then he just started bad-mouthing her….”
“Describe his appearance.”
“Well, he had an ugly hoodie, bags under his eyes, his eyes were really dark though, practically black, and pinkish blonde hair.”
“Goddammit!”
“What? What’s wrong?”
“It was him. Akhi, (Y/N)’s ex.”
“Wait what?!”
“Yeah, he stalked her before, and she got a restraining order, but I guess it expired cause he showed up at the convention and scared her during her Q&A with Katsuki. Did you talk to him before or after the panel?”
“He tapped my shoulder after (Y/N) walked through the door. About ten, fifteen minutes before it started.”
“So he was there, waved at (Y/N), left during her five-minute break, and then what?”
“(Y/N) kept looking around while we were hanging out with Denki too. You know how you feel like you’re being watched?”
“So that’s what was going on!” Eijirou exclaimed. “So now that we know who most likely did it, how do we prove it was him?”
“I have a plan. For now, stay with (Y/N). She needs support right now while I gather some evidence. Tell her I had an emergency and had to go if she asks any questions about me.”
“What?! You want me to lie?!” Eijirou exclaimed.
“Only if she asks!”
“Dude, I can’t lie to her! She doesn’t deserve that!” The artificial redhead crossed his arms in disapproval.
“Fine, don’t think of it as lying. Think of it as… extending the truth. Because I did indeed have an emergency. The emergency of trying to figure out who did this!”
“Fine! But you owe me one gamer boy!” Eijirou pouted like a puppy who was denied his favorite treat.
“Y/N, calm down. Please, your heart monitor’s going crazy.”
“I can’t calm down, Eijirou! I don’t know what’s going on! Akhi could’ve hurt ‘Toshi by now or ruined my YouTube career! I have to go stop him!” she sputtered, trying to get out of her hospital bed.
“You’re not going anywhere, sugar. You need to stay here and rest. I’m not letting you go out there and get hurt again,” Eijirou warned, stopping the girl.
“I’m fine, Eijirou, I—wait, what did you just call me?”
“I called you by your name?”
“No…you didn’t. You called me sugar.”
“Do you not like it?”
“I…well, yeah, I do, but it was so sudden.”
“Sorry…”
“No, i-it’s okay!”
Eijirou chuckled as he looked over your bedridden form. “Lemme go get you some actual food since that leftover ‘breakfast’ on your bedside table doesn’t look that good. What’s your favorite thing to eat for lunch, considering it’s about 12:30 right now.”
“Do you know any good places that sell (Y/F/F)?” Y/N asks meekly.
“Um, I think so. Let me go check if there’s any nearby. Do not leave that hospital bed, pretty lady, understand?!”
Nodding softly, she tries to fight the flush in her face, waving at him as Pony enters her hospital room as he leaves. “Hey, (Y/N). Where’s he going? Also, why do you look so flustered?”
“To get me food. Also, uh, no reason. What’s up?”
“Right…well, I just ran into your doctor, and they said you can go home by the end of today. I don’t have to worry about you in this dreary hospital anymore! But, you are resting once we get you home. Hey, where’s Hitoshi?”
“Yeah, about that. Izuku, Momo, Tsu, Katsuki, him, and Katsuki’s friends realized it was ‘he who shall not be named’ who did this to me and tried to get him to confess. Also, they found evidence against him. I’m starting to get worried because none of them are answering their phones, and I don’t know if he could, but A—”
“No! We vowed never to repeat that bastard’s name. Just thinking of saying it brings in all the negativity that comes with his presence!” she swore.
“My bad. But yeah, he started stalking me again. You know he was at my panel yesterday?” (Y/N) noted.
“Yesterday? (Y/N), that’s when you were admitted…Honey, yesterday for you was three days ago.”
“So, you’re telling me I’ve been in the hospital for three days?!”
“Easy, (Y/N), don’t overwork yourself. In the meantime, let’s get you some water.”
“I’m recovering from a peanut allergy, Pony. I’m not dying,” she jokes.
Pony laughs softly, ignoring the panicked memory when the doctor told them that Y/N had, in fact, died for a moment on the way from the convention to the hospital, and she also had a seizure. “Y-yeah. Thank God for that…” she mumbles.
“Pony, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I’m okay.”
“Pony…”
“You shouldn’t joke about that…especially when you’re here. You died on the way in, Y/N, and you had a seizure! We could’ve lost you! You’re my best friend, and we’d all be devastated without you!”
(Y/N) sighs softly, drinking the water before setting the plastic cup aside. “I’m sorry. I won’t make any more jokes like that, okay?”
Pony smiles and hugs the bedridden girl. The two talk for a while before they fall into a comfortable silence that causes (Y/N) to drift off to sleep.
About thirty minutes into her nap, Eijirou walks in with two bags of food and a bright smile. “Hey, pretty lady, I’m b—Oh. Aww, Y/N fell asleep,” he coos before noticing Pony sitting in the other chair. “Hi, I’m Eijirou Kirishima. I don’t think I’ve properly introduced myself yet.”
“It’s okay. We were all worried about her,” Pony sighs, looking at your sleeping form before turning to Eijirou. “I’m Pony Tsunotori, by the way.”
“So, how exactly do you know Y/N?”
“It’s a funny story. We met through her ex, or well our ex.”
“What?!”
“It’s not bad, really. He cheated on her with me, and, it’s funny, Y/N and I became friends over that. He was, no, he is a bastard for the way he treated her when we both dumped his sorry self, but apparently, he likes to hold a grudge.”
“This guy sounds like a piece of shit. I wish I’d known that when he confronted me at the con. I wouldn’t have said anything to him.”
“You talked to him?”
“Kind of. He confronted me and badmouthed her before scaring the shit out of Y/N at her panel. She looked like she had seen a ghost. I was worried about her.”
“Yeah, I’m glad she’s safe now. I wish none of this ever happened to her. She deserves better.”
“Yeah, she does. Someone like you.”
“Wait, what? No, no, Y/N and I are just friends,” EIjirou stammers.
“I saw the way you looked at her when you came back. Also, when she woke up. You really care about her, huh?”
The two looked over Y/N’s sleeping form, watching steadily as her chest rose and fell in a comfortable rhythm, the heart monitor beeping slowly. Pony looked over at Eijirou, eyes narrowing as she tried to determine if he had any raw intentions. Her face softened, realizing that he genuinely cared for Y/N, concerned for her in one of her darkest moments, and yet here he was, not leaving her side.
“Y’know,” Pony’s voice softened. “You’d be good for her.”
Eijirou’s cheeks flushed with heat, the normal color of his skin turning a salmon pink as he digested Pony’s compliment. Was this some kind of blessing?
“Thanks,” Eijirou smiled. “You’re a great friend to her, Pony. Please, never forget that.”
“If you hurt her, then you’ll see how good of a friend I really am!”
“Is… that a threat?”
Pony shrugged. “If you hurt Y/N, then yes, yes it is.”
Eijirou chuckled softly, careful not to wake Y/N as she dozed peacefully in her hospital bed.
“So, Katsuki… Bakugou? Was it?” A man wearing a tight office shirt and even tighter jeans walked in, his bald head shining under the dim fluorescent lighting.
“Tch,” Katsuki grunted, crossing his arms.
“So, the other person we have here, Akhi Seok Bang, says that he got those bruises and a broken nose from you. He sat down in the chair across from Katsuki. “Care to explain?”
“No comment,” Katuski barked.
“Care to explain why?”
“I’m not explaining shit without an attorney.”
The man sighed and wiped his hand across his face.
“You know that purple-haired friend of yours is squealing on you in the other room, blondie. Let’s see what he has to say before you decide to lawyer up, shall we?”
The man slammed his hands down on the table, creating a loud bang! sound.
“Just tell us what you know, Shinsou!”
“I’m not obligated to speak to anybody,” Hitoshi uttered his first words since being there.
“Answer the question!” The interrogator nearly flipped the table.
“I don’t know what you want from me!” Akhi snapped.
“The deal is simple, pinkie. What were you doing around the grease?!”
“You’re kind of mean, ain'tcha?”
The interrogator sighed. “Look, I’m just trying to get all the pieces of the puzzle before I start making connections. Just answer the question.”
“And I was trying to have a nice day, but it seems like nobody’s getting what they want today.”
The interrogator’s eye twitched at that statement. Goddamn, he hated his job.
“Momo… Yaoyorozu?”
Momo nodded.
“Tell me what happened, young lady. You seem like a sensible, mature woman. I’m sure you’d be able to give me the inside details.”
“W-well, the other day, my friends and I got together for lunch; we were at our booths for about six hours. So, we went to meet up with our friends Y/N and Katsuki. We all met up, and it seemed like everything was fine, but then Y/N started coughing on the way to the food area. Denki went to go get her. I’m not sure where Katsuki went, but I stopped her, making sure she was okay, but then she just collapsed, and she had these hives on her face and neck.”
“This must’ve been when the allergy started.…” He concurred. “Can you give me a time frame for this? Your cooperation is much appreciated.”
“The panel ended around 1:30 on Tuesday, I think, and we stopped at Izuku’s booth for a while, then we all went to get food around 1:45.”
“Interesting,” He nodded. “Thank you, I’ll make sure to add this to the file.”
Momo nodded, the interrogator getting up and leaving the room.
“Where’s Mina?!” Sero practically growled at the man.
“Sir, calm down—”
“No! I’ve been here for nearly three hours, and I haven’t seen nor heard Mina! Where is mi amor?!”
“She’s in a separate interrogation room. You can see her sooner if you just cooperate and answer our questions.”
“Can I at least see her?!”
“For interrogation purposes, we can not allow you to see her at this time.”
“Please! I’ll answer all your questions. Just please let me see her!”
The man let out a loud sigh, his hands coming to his head to rub his temples.
“You promise to answer all of my questions?”
“Yes, yes, whatever you want!”
The officer rolls his eyes and rolls his eyes, pulling up the blinds beside him, revealing a window into another room where Mina sat, teary and red-eyed, also being questioned by two officers.
Reaching out to touch the window, the officer shut the blinds abruptly. “There, you saw her. Now answer my questions, Romeo, and I’ll let you go.”
“That’s not what I meant! You know what I meant!” Sero yelled. “I actually wanted to see her!”
He had so many questions. Mina wasn’t a part of this? Why were Mina’s eyes red, and why was she crying? What had that bastard said to her?
“You saw your little girlfriend. Now answer the questions.”
“Pendejo, you didn’t even ask me a question yet.”
“Ugh. Anyways, tell me what happened when you were in the expo hall.”
“I went in with Momo, Izuku, Tsuyu, Mina, and Denki. Mina called out for Katsuki, and Izuku pulled him off of this guy with pink hair and a hoodie.”
“Then what?”
“Hitoshi said that he was the guy who messed with Y/N’s panel.”
Anxiety coursing through his veins, the green and black-haired boy sat in the metal chair.
“Izuku Midoriya?”
“Th-That’s me, officer.”
“Care to tell me what you and your friends were doing at the convention?”
“We all run our own YouTube channels, and we had our own booths set up.”
“Alright, well, tell me what you remember.”
“I met with our friends, and we waited for Kacchan and (Y/N) to finish their panel. After they were done, I showed my friends my booth. We stayed there for a bit, then we went to get food; Kacchan went to go get his spice bag from the convention hall—”
“Kacchan?”
“Katsuki.”
“Okay. Continue.”
“On the way to the food court, Y/N started acting weird, coughing and stuff. She walked with the girls in front of us while I walked with the guys, and then Y/N and Momo stopped before she collapsed and someone caught her.”
After Tsuyu and Denki finished telling their stories to the detectives, they let everyone go except for Akhi, Katsuki, and Hitoshi.
Back in the other room, the detective made his way back in with a slight smirk.
“You’re friends all shared their sides of the story. Now it’s time to share yours. You can’t stay silent forever, y’know.”
“...watch me.”
“If you weren’t so stubborn, we could figure out what happened to this Y/N person you and your friends keep mentioning.”
“You leave her out of this! She didn’t deserve any of this bullshit, and now she’s in the fucking hospital because of that Dorito-shaped head having lawnmower haircut dumbass.”
“I see that made you talk,” the officer chuckles.
“Shut up…”
“Care to tell us what happened now? That bruise looks like it hurts a lot.”
Silence.
“Shinsou?”
“Akhi is my childhood friend Y/N’s ex. They broke up three years ago. He was extremely toxic, went rabid when both she and his mistress dumped him, and he stalked her.”
“Do you have any proof?”
“Y/N got a restraining order against him, but I guess it expired.”
“Why do you think that?”
“He popped up at the convention, scared the hell out of her, and suddenly she’s in the hospital? Like that’s just a coincidence.”
“What if it is?”
“It’s not.”
“How would you know?”
“I got proof.”
“Oh really?”
Hitoshi put his hands in his pocket, grabbing what he needed and sliding his phone across the table.
The interrogator raised a suspicious brow.
“It’s open,” Hitoshi stated.
The interrogator carefully picked up the phone, noticing the video on the screen. “What kind of video is this, Shinsou?”
“An incriminating one.” He snarled.
“Now watch it.”
Scoffing, he plays the video, and Akhi’s face is in perfect view as the video plays out loud in the silent room.
“So what if I switched the oils?! It shouldn’t matter anyway!” Akhi bragged. “If such a waste of space were to pass away, would anyone even care?!”
A satisfied smirk appeared on Hitoshi’s face as he watched the interrogator's eyebrows lift and his mouth slightly drop.
Got him.
“Oh…” The interrogator sighed.
“Yeah. Now am I free to go?”
“Not yet, young man. I still have a few questions for you.”
“Oh, for fucks sake!” Hitoshi growled.
“Thank you so much!” Y/N thanked the lady at the front desk.
“No problem!” She responded, pep in her voice.
The three friends exited the hospital, the sun beaming down on them as it was a beautiful day. In the distance, Y/N could hear birds chirping and cars zooming on the road, filling the air with a thick foggy musk. But it didn’t bother them. Nothing could bother them on the day of the release of their best friend.
“Uh…Y/N, I think you should see this,” Eijirou mumbles.
“Eijirou, you have a car, right?” Y/N says stoically.
“Um…yeah, why?”
“We’re going to the police station.”
“What? No Y/N, you need rest. You just got out of the hospital,” Pony pleaded.
“I’ll rest once I get my friends out of the police station and throttle Hitoshi Shinsou.”
“Oh boy,” Eijirou chuckles. “Let’s go.”
“Pony, you coming?”
“Yeah, I’m getting in the back.”
Climbing into the car, they all buckle up before Eijirou starts the car and drives towards the nearest police station.
Pulling up to the police station (Y/N), with the help of Eijirou gets out of the car and makes her way inside. Locating the first officer she can find, she starts questioning them. “Is Hitoshi Shinsou here?!” she asks, trying not to strain her voice.
“I’m sorry, who are you?” the officer asks.
“(Y/N) (L/N).”
“Right, so why are you looking for this man?”
“He’s my best friend, practically my brother. I got word that he and our other friends were taken here, so I came down from the hospital as soon as possible.”
“I see. Who are these other friends of yours?”
“Izuku Midoriya, Momo Yayorozu, Tsuyu Asui, Mina Ashido, Denki Kaminari, Hanta Sero and Bakugou Katsuki. They didn’t do anything wrong! They’re innocent! Please, let me see them!”
“Right this way,” the officer sighs, leading you to the waiting area where the others are except for Bakugou and Shinsou.
“(Y/N)! Girlie, we were so worried about you! How are you feeling?” Mina gasps as you walk in through the door.
“I’m okay now. It’s been a rough couple of days, but I’m feeling a lot better. I’m sorry you guys went through this. It must have been harrowing….”
“We’re okay. The police are still questioning Hitoshi and Katsuki. They said they should be done soon.”
Katsuki scoffs as the officer lets him off with a warning, escorting him to the waiting room. “Fucking finally. Kept me in there for the longest fucking while.”
A few moments later, Hitoshi makes his way into the room, scanning his friends’ faces before realizing there are three extra people in the room.
“Hi, ‘toshi,” she smiles.
“Hey, donut,” he mumbles out of reflex before realizing you’re there. “Wait, (Y/N)?! When did you get out?!”
“Today.”
“How do you feel?”
“I’ll feel a lot better after I throttle you for doing all of this….”
“Um, well, let’s get out of here, guys,” he stammers as the others laugh softly, making their way out of the room.
As she followed her friends, (Y/N) felt a chill run through her spine as she heard her name being called by the last person she’d ever want to see.
Please not him. Anybody but him….
“(Y/N)!” A familiar voice called out.
She turned around to see a face she hoped to never see again. There Akhi was in all of his glory, well— not glory anymore. He was handcuffed, hands behind his back as a cop had a grip on his arm. The group of young adults collectively rolled their eyes, a scoff could be heard. Probably from Eijirou. She was frozen with shock as she stared at the greasy man.
His words made Eijirou’s right eye twitch.
“Don’t call her that!” Pony snapped before Eijirou even got the chance to speak up.
“Oh look, if it isn’t my other girlfriend… how’ve you been, Pony?” Akhi gave the girl a devious smile.
“That’s none of your business!” Pony barked.
“Enough about you,” he glared daggers at Pony, then redirected his ire once more to (Y/N). “How’s my baby girl doing?”“How’s The question sounded as though he intended to be sweet, but it was tainted by a hint of malice in his voice.
“I…I…” (Y/N) was too stunned to answer him. Seeing Ahki set off a flight or fight response in her, she figured her body chose to freeze instead of run away or tell him to fuck off. The man that tried to kill her had the nerve to speak to her as though everything was fine between them. Certainly, he had to know things would never be the same…right? He hadn’t slipped that far into his own twisted reality, had he?
“Oh, you’ve got some macho man to replace me, huh?” he spits. Gaze sharp enough to cut through metal. “Wonder how long this one’ll last before he gets sick of you~.” A burst of unhinged laughter was let out as he grinned wickedly.
“As Pony said,” Eijirou spoke up this time, his tone barely hiding just how irritated he was, “that’s none of your business,” He calmly moved (Y/N) back so that Akhi’s attention focused on him instead. He had enough of him, making (Y/N) uncomfortable. “You’re a hypocrite, you know that? She’s not your girlfriend anymore. You are just a jerk who can’t get it through your head that she dumped your rabies-looking ass. One of the actual mistakes God made.”
“How dare you!” Akhi broke out of the cop’s hold and leaped at Eijirou.
Little did Akhi know, Eijirou was prepared. While Akhi was mid-air, the taller man stepped to the side and rammed his elbow into the smaller man’s back without breaking a sweat.
“Really, dude?” Eijirou crossed his arms and looked down upon Akhi, his ears filling with Akhi’s groans of pain.
“I think you broke my fucking back!”
“Nah, if I was going to break you, I would’ve split you into two.”
“Eijirou!” Mina interrupted the bickering between the two.
“I’m just saying!” He held up his hands in defense.
“C’mon, donut, let’s get you home. You need to rest,” Hitoshi scoffs, looking down at Akhi.
“And you need to pay the fine, Hitoshi Shinsou,” the arresting officer perks up. “Now leave. You kids JUST got bailed out! Get out before we have to arrest you all!”
Hitoshi blinked a few times, processing what the officer was saying.
“Us?!”
“Yes, you! Now get out!”
“Pigs!” Hitoshi scoffed before running out, mentally deciding to pay the fine online and silently wincing at the large withdrawal, holding (Y/N) ’s hand tightly until the two were safely in the parking lot, the rest of the group following.
“Damn, you run fast for a gamer,” Katsuki commented.
“When you want the best games on Black Friday, you need to haul ass.”
“Hey, where’d Eijirou go?” (Y/N) asked.
“Why do you ask?” Mina teases.
“Uh…no reason….”
“His car’s parked out front, so he went to go get it,” Denki commented.
“By himself?”
“Nah, Tsu and Momo went with him. So what are we going to do next?”
“Celebrate (Y/N) getting out of the hospital. Where should we go?”
“I still have to prove to (Y/N) that my food is better than that shit from that buffet place Y/N and Denki dragged us out to,” Katsuki chuckles.
“Dragged?! It was a smart idea!”
“One of few,” Hitoshi chuckles.
“Hitoshi Shinsou, I’m still going to throttle you later….”
“Denki?”
“I’m staying away from that path of fury,” he stammers, stepping back.
“Katsuki? Izuku?”
“Hell no.”
“Nope.”
“(Y/N), donut, let’s talk about this.”
“At home.”
“...at least I get time to write my will.”
Making his way back to the convention hall, Hitoshi’s mind was racing. How am I supposed to get in if the con i—Oh, that could work…
Waiting until the guards slip away to do their rounds, Hitoshi uses his pass to slip through the service entrance and get in. Finding a spare worker uniform, he changes before maneuvering back into the hall. Walking around, he eventually gets back to the main area.
“Hitoshi! Over here!” a voice calls out.
Turning his head, he sees a mop of green waving frantically at him. Jogging over, he sits down at their table, panting softly. “I ran from the fucking hospital to get here,” he groans. “That bastard better still be here, 'cause when I get my hands on him….”
“Who?”
“(Y/N)’s ex.”
“That fucking waste of space?! I thought (Y/N) got a restraining order against him!” Momo gasps.
“It must’ve expired or something,” Tsu explains.
“Well, no matter what, we’re gonna figure out how he did this to (Y/N) and get proof.”
“Right!” they all yelled.
They all split up and ran in different directions, each performing their own way to find evidence.
(Y/N) let out a pathetic cough, her throat aching with every movement of her body as her chest heaved in and out, desperate for air.
“Eijirou?” (Y/N) weakly called out.
“Hey (Y/N), what’s up?” Eijirou smiles.
Eijirou felt physically ill at the thought of lying to (Y/N). He just didn’t want to do it! She was too sweet and had gone through enough. He felt like lying to her would just put more unwanted stress on her or give her a false sense of security.
“Where’d Toshi go?”
“Oh, um… he went out to get you food.”
“But… he didn’t ask me what I wanted….”
Eijirou and (Y/N) stared at each other for a while, neither one of them daring to move as Eijirou stuttered and stammered in response, trying to formulate an excuse.
“He said he knew your favorites!” He blurted out.
“Oh,” (Y/N) said. “That’s very thoughtful of him!”
“Haha, yeah…” Eijirou trailed off.
The awkward silence filled the room as the two sat in the room, Eijirou avoiding eye contact at all times as he stared at anything else. The floor, the wall, hell, even the flower pot seemed more interesting than having to stare into her eyes and flat out lie to her. A lightbulb appeared in Eijirou’s head as a great idea came to him. His facial expressions lifted as he made eye contact with (Y/N) for the first time in a while.
“Hey! I have an idea!” He chimed. “Let’s call Denki and see what he’s up to!”
(Y/N) nodded. “That’s a great idea!”
Eijirou pulled out his phone and dialed the number, putting it on speaker as he handed the phone to you as it gently rang throughout the room. Suddenly the ringing stopped as a voice spoke through the phone.
“Hey dude, I’ll call ya later because right now we’re working hard to find evidence that (Y/N)’s ex tampered with the oil.”
The room went dead silent. Silently hanging up the phone, Eijirou stood there in shock. Eijirou’s jaw dropped to the floor as (Y/N) sat there, staring at the phone as her jaw also dropped, unable to form words.
“What was he talking about? How does he know about my ex?” she weakly asks, looking at Eijirou with concern.
“Um,” Eijirou started.
A million thoughts raced in his head. Should he run out of the room? Should he stay and try to explain it? Or should he pass out on the floor so he has an excuse to avoid this conversation? Well… that last option seemed a little over the top. But hell, he does feel a little light-headed after their plan was revealed.
“Eijirou, what was Denki talking about?” she asks with concern. “What did you guys do?”
“I don’t know exactly what they’re doing, considering they had me stay here to keep you company. Which is fair because nobody likes being in the hospital alone. But…earlier, when I was on the phone, Mina called asking how you were, what happened, etc.…and I explained how some weird guy came up to me after I dropped you off at your panel thingy. He started bad-mouthing you, and I told him off. Hitoshi said it was your ex, and one thing led to another, and now we’re here.”
“What are they doing now?”
“Last I heard was what Denki said on the phone. But hopefully, nothing illegal happens.”
“I hope they’re okay.”
Stepping into the darkened hall, the lights surrounding the stage turn on, revealing him. Akhi.
“Hitoshi Shinsou! My old pal. I’m so glad you could make it,” he grins.
“We are not nor were we ever friends. What do you want? Why did you tell me to meet you here?” Hitoshi scoffs
“Oh, I just wanted to have a little chat.”
“About what? How you tried to kill my best friend?”
“Who? (Y/N)? She got what was coming to her….”
“Got wh—YOU’RE INSANE! She dumped your sorry ass three years ago, and you can’t get over yourself! Somehow in your twisted mind, you thought switching her cooking oil was a good idea?! You nearly killed her!”
“So what if I switched the oils?! It shouldn’t matter anyway!” Akhi bragged. “If such a waste of space were to pass away, would anyone even care?!”
“And if I were to tell the police you said all this?” Hitoshi raised an eyebrow.
“You’ve got nothing on me!” he growled.
Hitoshi nodded. “Perhaps, perhaps,” A broad smile came to his face as he pulled his phone out of his hoodie pockets. “Unless I… recorded this conversation with your face attached to it!”
“What?!” He growled.
“It would be a shame if the police got a hold of this… making someone go to the hospital is a serious crime, especially if they almost died, y’know.” Shinsou shrugged. “Oh, wait! No, it wouldn’t!”
“Give me that phone!” Akhi screamed.
He lunged at Hitoshi, both boys sliding across the floor and into a wall. Akhi growled, swinging his fist into Hitoshi’s jaw, attempting to disorient him long enough to grab his phone, only to fail as he was punched in the face in retaliation. Hitoshi sent a kick into Akhi’s stomach without much effort, sending the man flying across the room and landing on the other side, his head hitting the floor. Akhi groaned in pain as Hitoshi got up and walked over to the crumpled man.
“My mom always told me never to kick a man while he’s down,” A dark shadow cast over Hitoshi’s face. “But I don’t think she meant it literally.”
Hitoshi lodged his foot in Akhi’s stomach without warning, causing him to curl up and groan in pain.
“Piece of shit….” Hitoshi mumbled. “I told you last time to leave (Y/N) alone. Anyways! I’m off to show the police this footage. I’ll make sure no one visits you behind bars.”
A door off to the side slams open as an explosive voice makes its presence known. “Eye bags?! You in here?” Katsuki’s voice echoed throughout the empty room.
“Yeah,” Hitoshi replies. “Over here.”
“Where is he? Where’s the piece of shit trying to ruin my career?”
Hitoshi points to the figure attempting to get up while coughing softly.
“You!” he growls, storming up to Akhi.
“What? You come here to yell at me about that bitch too? Oh, wait, I know you. You’re that guy who did the panel with her! What’d she have to do to get you to agree to a panel, huh?”
Katsuki glared at the man before gripping his shirt and punching Akhi in the face. “That’s for trying to ruin me,” he snaps before hitting him again. “And that’s for hurting one of the best bakers that I know.”
“My fucking nose! Shit!” Akhi screamed as his hands came to cover his face. Crimson started to trickle out of his nostrils.
“Serves you right, punk!” Katsuki scoffed. “Dammit, that’s gonna sting for a while.”
“Katsuki Bakugou!” A familiar feminine voice yelled.
“Ah, shit…” He rolled his eyes.
Mina and the others came bursting into the room, shock and confusion splayed on all of their faces.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” Mina continued.
“This is the piece of shit who sabotaged (Y/N)!”
“Oh…” She went quiet for a moment. “Continue then! What? You’re gonna look at me and tell me that I’m wrong?!”
“Kacchan, stop!!” Deku pushed his way through and pulled Katsuki off of Akhi.
The pink-haired boy groaned in pain as he curled in on himself even more.
