Old projects to mend/rework and new things to play with. 🥰
Reworking this necklace to fit my style better.
Pendant by Surly-Ramics
So happy to get this pendant back in my regular circulation.
First on the agenda: I've been itching to do something we these.
I'm sure they wouldn't look special to anyone but me. But, to me, they are a piece of home and comfort and connection. I collected these from the beach near the house where I grew up. I grab a pocketful every time I get a chance to visit that beach. And, it's been my custom for years to leave the very best of these skipping stones on my mom's grave on my way out. I feel like it's leaving a piece of the beach with her. I think she'd like that. When my father's mother died, I started doing it for her, too. And this year, I left some for Dad. It's a personal little tradition I have that I don't really talk about.
I also brought some home with me for a specific purpose: to make some necklaces.
This little lizard caught my eye at the Expo last week and I thought he’d look super cute on these leaves. I wasn’t wrong. :) My thanks to the kazuri bead dealer Tamie Simpson.

A couple turtle necklaces I didn't show off the last time I was crafting because they were gifts.
Great big rainbow stone heart
I was actually putting something entirely different together when I became obsessed with finding a way to use this bat and larvikite in the same necklace. There’s no telling where pawing through my bead boxes will take me.
