The Wallets - Totally Nude (1986)

The Wallets were a weird hybrid band from Minnesota that didn't last very long, but this song and video has stuck with me for the past 20 years or so. I don't even know what you'd call this style of music.
The video is pure 80's, but the more experimental/artistic/pop-art side of the 80's. Mix in a little Devo, a little Keith Haring and a few kitchen sinks and you have this video that, as weird as it may be, is never boring. Every ten seconds there's something new to look at.
Director Sinard apparently hired five cinematographers to shoot different sections of the video, and the artwork was based on designs created by lead singer Steve Kramer. The animation was done by John Larson, who I can't seem to find any more info on.
Sinard now owns a marketing agency and Kramer (along with the band's former manager) creates music for commercials.
