John Larson
Physique: Average Build Height: 5’8” (1.73 m)
John Barry Larson (born July 22, 1948) is a straight-up American political powerhouse, representing Connecticut’s 1st congressional district since 1999. This Hartford-born Democrat, who grew up in the gritty reality of an East Hartford public housing project, is a force to be reckoned with. He’s chaired the House Democratic Caucus, served on the House Ways and Means Committee, and currently holds rank as the top dog on the Social Security Subcommittee. Larson’s got that relatable, roll-up-your-sleeves vibe that screams authenticity, and let’s be real—I’m totally smitten. That average build, that determined glint in his eye? It’s got me imagining what kind of fire he’s got under that polished exterior. John, you’ve got my number if you want to show me what’s up.
Larson’s roots run deep in East Hartford, where he graduated from East Hartford High School and Central Connecticut State University. Before politics, he was out there grinding as a high school history teacher and assistant football coach at George J. Penney High School, while co-owning an insurance agency. The man’s got layers—tough, smart, and a little bit of that coach’s swagger that’s driving me wild. He kicked off his public service in 1977 on the East Hartford Board of Education, then dominated two terms on the Town Council. By 1982, he was in the Connecticut State Senate, serving six terms and rising to president pro tempore from 1987 to 1995. Hell, he even authored the nation’s first state Family and Medical Leave Act—talk about a guy who gets shit done. In Congress, he’s a fierce advocate for working families, seniors, small businesses, and the environment, proving he’s got heart and hustle.
Married to Leslie Best with three kids, Larson’s got that steady, family-man charm that only makes him hotter. I’m picturing him ditching the suit for something a little more… revealing, showing off that sturdy frame. That 5’8” build and his commanding presence? It’s got me fantasizing about getting up close and personal, seeing if he can bring that same passion he’s got for policy to a whole different playing field. Come on, John, let’s see if you can coach me through a night to remember.
Tesla backlash continues as the stock nosedives and Musk pushes conspiracy theories about protests and arsons at dealerships.
The president said protesters were trying to "illegally and collusively boycott Tesla" because Elon Musk is in his administration.
How? How is it illegal not to buy something you don't want? Show me the law require the purchase of a vehicle from a specific company? How will they enforce it? Most people can't afford a car.
How will they impose this imaginary requirement to buy Teslas on Germany? France? How?
Trump bought brand new car from his buddy Elon Musk right off the make-shift Tesla lot on the White House lawn. This boost came as the compa

Rep. Larson BLASTS The GOP For Blocking Elon Musk From Testifying
I love to see powerful congressmen get angry at other powerful people.
"Don't let anybody tell you that yelling and making a fuss doesn't matter or that journalism doesn't matter."
Alex Bollinger at LGBTQ Nation:
Out MSNBC host Rachel Maddow was astounded by the energy a top Democratic member of Congress brought to defending Social Security, the retirement insurance program that the Trump administration has set its sites on eliminating. House Democrats wanted to call Elon Musk, who was the top donor to the Trump campaign last year and who has been using his influence in the administration to fire federal workers and cut government services, before the House Ways and Means Committee, a resolution that House Republicans blocked. Rep. John Larson (D-CT), the former chair of the House Democratic Caucus, had some choice words for Republicans in the House who refused to bring Musk in for questioning about his potentially illegal cuts to federal spending. The Constitution says that the president and the Executive Branch are supposed to implement the laws that Congress passes, not veto them by blocking funding after the laws are passed. “I do not understand why you would relegate this committee to no longer being of significance and resort to saying, ‘You will do whatever Elon Musk and Donald Trump tell you to do!'” Larson said, pounding on his desk. “Where’s the independence of the committee!” he bellowed. “Where’s the legislature! We’re an equal branch of government, and you start off with a blather!” “Look at the empty seats here. Where is Elon Musk?” Larson said, adding that Musk isn’t “above the law” no matter how rich or smart Republicans think he is. “If he’s so great, if these plans and all the fraud and the abuse that he found are so evident, why isn’t he here explaining it? You know why – because he’s out to privatize Social Security!” Larson then ran through some quotes from Musk where he called Social Security a Ponzi scheme (it is not).
Even Rachel Maddow of MSNBC was astounded when Rep. John Larsen (D-CT) read the riot act.
From the 03.12.2025 edition of MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show:
This is the energy we need.
This is Democrat John Larson from Connecticut.
The title of this video says "Chaos erupts during DOGE hearing" because this video is from FOX News. But look at the comments section.
In that comments section, there are American people on both parties agreeing with Larson and showing solidarity in their outrage over what is happening with DOGE. This is a good thing and we need to see more of it!
No one expects the man from Connecticut 💪
