This Slow Cooker Cranberry Apple Crisp is a delightful combination of tart cranberries, sweet apples, and a crispy oat topping. It's a perfect dessert for cozy evenings or holiday gatherings, and the slow cooker makes it incredibly easy to prepare.
Ingredients: 6 cups chopped apples. 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1 cup old-fashioned oats. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted.
Instructions: In a large bowl, combine chopped apples, cranberries, granulated sugar, 1/4 cup flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until fruit is evenly coated. In another bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, and melted butter until crumbly. Layer half of the fruit mixture into the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle half of the oat mixture over the fruit. Repeat layers with remaining fruit mixture and oat mixture. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the fruit is tender and the topping is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
