29. a song you remember from your childhood
you belong with me - taylor swift my first foray into pop music. coincidentally also my first foray into compulsory heterosexuality but c'est la vie 진달래꽃 - maya first korean song that i was actually conscious for. sang this a lot when i was a little kid without knowing anything about the context. hits different now that im older and know what my homeland is like lmao the ufo robo grendizer op my dad was a 70s mech anime boom kid and he passed all of it onto me. the day that i finally release the Hounds (my extensive rewrite and also mash of at least nine different nagai go era series) is the day its all over for all of you. also grendizer was always my favorite. kisses duke fleed on the lips
19. a song that makes you think about life
mandatory evac/counting cars - the oh hellos love love love this song so dearly. listen to it maybe once every two months to preserve the magic. makes me think of sunset, and getting out of the car on a highway for a breath of fresh air while the world ends. vibes agnes - glass animals idk. he was so loved. and now hes gone. it makes u think this is home - cavetown first heard this when i was like twelve or something and almost immediately clocked it as a song about transness at a time when i barely understood the implications of that. now im twenty and life has gotten much more complicated but what this song does to me has not changed
9. a song that makes you happy
