It’s not surprising that the news came out. If anything, it was expected. Everyone was prepared, from the members, to the CEO, to Andy, and even some of the fan sites’ masters.
It was bound to happen, but that didn’t stop them from trying to hide it. Jonghyun still got scolded by the make-up artists for the hickeys always being left in such obvious places, and the hair stylists as well as the clothing coordinator nagged him to no end as well for always messing up the outfit or his hair ten minutes before hitting the stage. His members would whine when they would keep them up at odd hours of the night with the moans and the creaking of the bed. Minsoo even warned against breaking the bunk bed, but that didn’t take his smile away.
Jonghyun even let things slip, sure enough that it wouldn’t come out as easily as the others made it seem. They shared things, from clothes to pillows and jewelry.
“You might want to be careful about that,” Chanhee mentioned once. Jonghyun had merely scoffed. If anything, the only thing he felt regretful for was when he lost his promise ring. He secluded himself for a week before Daniel was finally able to get him to come out for anything besides practice.
“It’s okay,” said Daniel. He then took his own ring and placed onto Jonghyun’s finger. “We’ll just share mine; that way, you’ll have to come back to me.” Changjo looked up to Daniel’s gentle eyes, and couldn’t help but to consume the lips of that smile in hopes of obtaining the happiness that only Daniel can give him.
That’s why they weren’t surprised when the news of the rumor of Jonghyun dating someone came out. They were ready, or at least they were. It wasn’t the news they expected. They expected a picture of Jonghyun with his thick lipped bandmate in an intimate position, not of a collage of pictures of Jonghyun with Jiyeon. And throughout the scramble caused by the rumor, Jonghyun could only say one thing.
