Planet: Alternia

Name: Cojori Bazias. I completely forget how I came up with it :’)

……I think I know but I don’t think either of us will like the answer. I think it’s a heavy corruption of Color Blindness LOL. Might I recommend Coachm instead for a first name? As a reference to Congenital Achromatopsia, aka Inherited Total Color Blindness. 

Maybe Reigne as a reference to the term Ranee for reigning queen. I think the name Colorblind Queen works well for the theme you’re going for, haha.

Strife Specubus: Haven’t quite decided that-

If she truly believes she’s an heiress, then maybe she should have her hands on a trident of some form? Maybe she could have a 2x1quindentkind. A double-sided Fivedent. A Five-Pronged tridenty thing.

Fetch Modus: Belief Modus- The more confident she is that she’ll retrieve the right item, the more likely it is that she will. Although if, for example, she’s in a bad mood and is in a rush to just get the item, it’s more likely for her to retrieve the wrong item or fail to retrieve anything at all

Blood Color: Teal

Symbol and Meaning: Its based off of Libnius, Sign of the Certain

Hmmm. If she doesn’t believe that she’s common, I don’t think it’s likely she’s going to be describing herself that way! How about chrysalineRoyalty? Chrysaline in reference to the Chrysalis, implying that she’s a royalty in development and that she believes she’ll transform into her true form one day!

Quirk: *Border$ her text with $tar$ and replace$ ’S’ with ’$’*

That’s fair considering the fame and fortune associated with fuchsia folks.

Lusus: A zebra

I think if we’re gonna run with the believing she’s an empress theme, maybe we could give her one of those exception-to-the-rules lusii. Like maybe a king crab. Because of the royalty and sea association! It could’ve been someone’s motive to say she was an heiress, a joke about her lusus becomes a lifelong Belief.

Personality: Cojori is incredibly delusional, but has a kind heart. She is very, very naive and has been totally convinced for a long while now that she’s a fushiablood born in the wrong body, and that someday she’ll grow her fins and rule Alternia. ..Yeah, people have told her otherwise, but she’s very certain that this is absolutely going to happen and won’t let the words of others change her mind on the matter. Most of the time she tries to act all high and mighty, although without pushing anyone else down since she’d feel guilty if she did. Being colorblind she can’t tell blood colors apart without assistance and so treats everyone the same way(which can get her into some trouble when dealing with highbloods). She’s incredibly supportive, especially towards her moirail, and is always trying to keep everyone happy as best she can. When dealing with her own emotions she tends to pretend that the negative ones don’t exist at all. A true ruler should never show weakness after all.

I love this a lot... Since she’s a hope player And a teal, you have to make sure she has like REALLY REALLY REALLY strong convictions and I think for her that would principally be just Making Everyone As Happy As Possible. Someone really motivated to change and equality and being nice and the perfect powerful ruler who is good and wonderful.

Interests: She is of course very infatuated with the lives of highbloods, seadwellers in particular. She also quite likes shiny objects and swimming

Maybe she could also like political stuff and social theory, just as a way to try to help her learn how to be the best ruler she can be!

I legitimately don’t really have anything to change! I might suggest her having a hemoanonymous shirt just since she refuses to really embrace her blood color and maybe her moirail would help her pick out a hemoanon set of shirts? But other than that, I think she’s solid!

I love this character because killing himself off and then assuming a new identity is exactly the kind of idiotic thing an eccentric rich 13 year old would do.

Planet: Alternia

Name: His actual name is Aticko Valleh, but he goes by Ankuri Skennl. I forget how I came up with Aticko Valleh, but Ankuri Skennl comes from the Finnish terms for “anchor” and “pretend”, which I used since he’s ‘anchored’ to the ‘pretend’ person he is now

My guess is that Aticko is probably a mutation of Aktor. The only other thing I could imagine is you getting it from Atico, which is like… A spanish word for Penthouse. Either way, I think that justifies keeping the name! The surname, though… I might change to Vallan. That comes from Vallancy, which is a large wig which shades the face, and wigs are great for actor themed characters- plus it foreshadows his costumey future.

I like the anchor justification for the name. You have to remember he picked it out himself, though, which means I might make him a little piratey, because if you’re going to pick a name like Anchor Faker, you’re going to probably take a little bit of Gamblignant inspiration.

Age: 7 ½ Sweeps

Blood Color: Violet, although he’s disguised as a cerulean

Strife Specubus: Dualbladekind- He essentially uses a staff with blades on each end

Hmmm. Sounds like a 2x1Naginatakind? Since that’s essentially a polearmx2. 

Fetch Modus: Mystery Bag Modus- Every item is put into a unique bag, and to get the item you want you’d have to guess based on the exterior of its bag alone, which is different for every item

You could do a Mystery Bag/Prog Bag Modus where everything is kept in a Single bag and he has to tell what the items are based on feeling alone? It just feels more Actory.

Symbol and Meaning: His true sign is based off of Aquamino (The Sign of the Tilted) and his fake sign is based off of Scormino (The Sign of the Fatalistic)

Trolltag: discreetThespian [DT]

Hmmm, this sounds too straightforward. thespErsponifaction, maybe? Thesp still being a reference to thespian, leading right into Personification, which references a Character. It’s a subtle hint that he’s playing a character while being juuust subtle enough for no one to pick it up. 

Quirk: “Borders #is text wit# quotations and uses ’#’ instead of ‘H’”

Lusus: Orcadad, a killer whale who he doesn’t live with anymore, although he tries to visit him whenever he can because good gosh does he miss him

I always hate having to do this, but orcas are aquatic mammals, not Actual Fish, and aquatic mammals are for purplebloods, not violets. Maybe you could utilize an octopus who is really good at hiding and disguising himself? He goes back and visits the secret little cave where the octodad stays every now and then. A lusus in camouflage is good for his theme, too!

Personality: Ankuri is right on the border between being overly cautious and not cautious enough. He’s very conflicted with how he feels about a lot things, like how he wants to be well known as an actor and yet doesn’t want too much attention on him at the same time. He tries to act casual but in reality he’s always got a nagging feeling that someone knows his secret or is going to find out somehow. He’s sort of reserved but all around a nice person so long as you don’t seem like a threat to him.

It’s definitely a fun character to work with. There are a lot of actors who really love having attention on them for their art, but Hate being seen and known outside of the context of acting, so it makes sense. If he fabricates an entire persona, so he is Always acting, and can never be Known for his own self. 

I have a suggestion: Perhaps he also realized that as a violet, his talent was secondary to his blood. Directors would hire him on for roles Because he was violet- Violets are said to be able to do just about anything in Alternian society. Everyone entertains whatever whim they have. A director might worry that he’ll become violent if he doesn’t get his way and thus hire him for the Wrong Reasons. This could’ve made Aticko fear that his talents weren’t being appreciated and he wasn’t actually going to be able to grow as an artist, and could’ve been a core motivator for the death faking.

Background: Formerly known as Aticko, Ankuri is a violetblood who felt like he wasn’t cut out for having so much power and responsibility to uphold. After much planning (and not too much consideration of the outcome) he decided to fake his own death and run off to the surface, and that’s exactly what he did. While he was sad about leaving his lusus, for a time he had no doubts that he’d made the right decision in restarting his life as a ceruleanblood and becoming an actor. His thoughts have changed heavily on the matter now, but its far too late for him to change his mind, so he just has to live with it.

I’m sure he could eventually arrange some dramatic reveal nonsense. Oh my friends, look, for I have risen from the dead, no totally-

Interests: Musicals, writing, the lifestyles of landdwellers (if you have any suggestions for more I’d love to hear them!)

Costume design! He’s got to have some cerulean #looks if he’s going to blend in. He doesn’t have to only like theater-related stuff, though. You could play around with a little more depending on his personality. He could like board games, etc. I can’t really tell you where to go w/ those kind of hobbies, though! If he’s nervous about being caught, maybe he could like divination hobbies? Like pulling runes to see his fortune, or using tarot cards for personal readings… 

Title: Mage of Doom

Pretty fair. He needs to understand the consequences of his actions and getting on with the knowledge of impending destruction Is kind of the best way to learn about consequence.

Land: Land of Splash and Pretend

How about Splash and Pose? It just flows a little bit better! 

Dream Planet: Prospit

Design:

On the left I didn’t really do much of note, so I’m not going to go into detail there. Just some very minor color shifts. On the right, there’s some more to say, though! 

Horns: The horn additions in his costume I feel are a little risky. They could easily get knocked off and reveal the truth. So instead of that, I decided to chip into just one of them. Carved in juuust a little to create a new branch without looking painful. 

Hair: The scarf to hide the fins is also a little precarious. He can’t wear that when he’s acting, after all. So I decided to give him some cleverly styled hair. Little loop buns that are tied around the fins to keep them concealed. I also gave him a little clip-on cobalt extension. He probably can’t dye his hair cobalt, but he Can clip it on. And he can use the excuse that he hairclips it instead of dyeing it so that he can easily take it off for roles. 

Outfit: Like I said I wanted to just bring in a light amount of Gamblignant vibes. So I gave him a nice black top with a sash around the middle. The pants are just tucked into his ankle boots, which I edited from Terezi’s flarp boots (which I love too much).

(Vivian is actually my very first fantroll! She was made a long while ago and I’d love some help improving her ;w;)

I looove this character’s starting base a lot actually. So we’ll play around with her and Enhance this lovely gall. 

Planet: Alternia

Name: Vivian Lummox (There isn’t really a reason for it– I just think it sounds good)

It does sound cool, but Vivian’s a bit too familiar of a name, and a Lummox is a clumsy oaf, so I might tweak things just a little, but I’ll at least tryyy to preserve the feeling. 

For the first name, how about Vivaci? It’s pretty obviously from the etymological root of Vivacity, to be lively and animated, exactly what your character Doesn’t want to be. It reflects all the liveliness that she’s lost. 

For the surname, I can think of a few, but none that keep the same vibe. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Luctus? From Luctual, or Sorrowful, Mourning? 

Vivaci Luctus. I think that keeps the Energies of the original name pretty well!

Age: 7 Sweeps

Blood Color: Rust

Strife Specubus: Bladekind | She uses a small, simple dagger

She could have a blunt knife specifically, as a reference to Her particular bluntness as well as to the fact that the fight’s gone out of her, she’s not really trying to defend herself.

Fetch Modus: I don’t really know tbh-

If she’s interested in the Many Dumb Ways To Die, her modus could be like, a fear factor x type challenge where she has to complete some stupid shit before she can Get Her Item. Eat a beetle if you want this book.

Symbol and Meaning: It was basically just based off of the rust signs in general

Trolltag: walkingCorpse [WC]

Since trolltags tend to be Less Common Words, might I recommend ambulatoryCarcass instead? It basically means the same thing, but is Bigger.

This also gives me an idea...

Quirk: xX borders text with Xs. She came up with it when she was younger and never bothered to change it Xx

Special Abilities: Standard telekinetics, although weak due to the fact that she never practices them. Her ability to see and sense the dead is heightened than most, its like there’s always at least one looming over her shoulder

Now here’s where I want to bring in my idea. Persephoneanmystery has played around with zombie trolls on this blog before and Aradia in canon got to be a fun zombie, because reds are just... such good candidates for them. I probably won’t go the Same route as either of those characters, but still, the idea of her Almost dying during the drone raid and then the ghosts pulling her back to life- but irreversibly tangling themselves with her soul at the same time is an interesting thought. We know that when you’re zombie-ish, emotions get more muted, and so that’s fun for her. Well, not fun for her, but fun for her writing. 

Lusus: A large bear with a third eye on his forehead, called “Papabear”. With his third eye he has the ability to see the dead as well

Personality: Vivian is completely dead inside and wishes she was dead outside too. She lost her first moirail due to a drone raid she went into a state of total bleakness, blaming herself for it since it had happened at her hive. While she has found another moirail this demeanor hasn’t changed much. She’s very blunt and often doesn’t really care how others react to what she has to say. At this point she could care less about the threat of highbloods and treats them as she would any other troll, which isn’t too great to be fairly honest. When she’s around her moirail she tries to allow herself to be cheered up, but its difficult. Even still she makes an effort, and this tends to actually end up with her softening too much and breaking down. Its not so bad, as releasing all those pent up emotions does tend to make her feel better in the end. For the sake of her lusus and moirail she doesn’t avidly seek death, but she doesn’t exactly try too hard to avoid it either.

I want to help herrr. This is good. Definite emphasis on the survivor’s guilt is necessary here, especially with the addition I recommended- she should’ve died too, but she didn’t, and she hates that. Why didn’t her moirail live? Why did it have to be her!! Unfortunate. 

Interests: Ghosts, how much trolls can take before pushed to their limit, the many ways one can die

Might I also recommend: Lying on the floor. That’s a legitimate hobby when you’re depressed.

Title: Witch of Doom

I actually do like this quite a lot... She’s someone who’s kind of passively floating through life and accepting her fate at the moment. She needs to get back into herself, needs to be more active. She needs to realize that while she can’t change the past, she can change the future. And then she needs to get out there and do it, actively change the paths of destruction, change the structures, change the damage... And she’ll do that by passively understanding the importance of life.

Land: Land of Rainfall and Friction

Oooh, I like the name of this planet. I wish you’d given a little more context, because I really feel it. A land of torrential downpour where there’s large amounts of tension between various groups because of Laws, maybe? 

Dream Planet: Derse

This would theoretically make her Armini, the Reconciler, but I’ll be using your custom symbol, so I’m just showing you this for fun. 

Design time: 

...You know what, she’s all good. She follows all the rules, she looks suitably exhausted and miserable. All around solid and good character design! I can’t think of anything I would change.
