Jack the Giant Slayer is a children’s fantasy film that is essentially Jack and the Beanstalk with special effects and Ewan McGregor. Eddie plays Crawe, a guardian of the Princess (played by Eleanor Tomlinson) and right hand man to McGregor’s character Elmont. The film was so bad we stopped watching the moment Eddie’s character died (which was quite early on.) Yes, sorry, we usually warn for spoilers but our real warning is this: avoid this film!

No, it’s not all that bad, it just really isn’t our thing. However, we did enjoy Eddie in armour and on horseback. Something that really riled us though was that Jack (the film’s protagonist) spent days climbing a giant beanstalk without ever eating! We can suspend our belief for giants and islands in the sky but not for malnutrition, come on guys.

Crawe wasn’t exactly cute (and as a guardian he’s supposed to be a bit threatening) but he certainly wasn’t creepy or scary so we’ve given him a four.

Also, how sweet is this on set interview with Eddie (minus the atrocious wig) about his character?

Am I the only one?

I just watched Jack the Giant Slayer on Sunday and I found myself totally in love with Elmont. Then again who didn't. I feel that I am the only one (other than my friend who went with me) who ship Elmont with Crawe. #Crawmont anyone? Does anyone ship it???
