Kingsguard II Jaime & Hvitserk
@crazedvikings
It was too hot to be partaking in any kind of physical activity today, so Jaime marched through the halls of King's Landing with an air of irritation about him.
King Tommen had insisted his uncle be given a new squire and that Jaime should train him too. He couldn't remember it being the Lord Commander's job to train his new squires- surely it had always been tasked to the master of arms? But still, if the King commanded it, a Kingsguard must do it.
For the most part.
He made it to the sparring yard eventually, finding the young man already there eying up the vast array of swords that hung on the wall. Jaime had never seen a squire quite so old. They normally came to their knights as boys- Jaime had been fifteen. But this person...well, he could only have been a few years younger than Jaime's thirty-four.
"Good morning," Jaime said. The man had his back to him. He doubted he had even sensed Jaime's presence. "What's your name, boy?"
