GRASS CTHULU, YOU LET GO OF GRASS FINN'S HAND RIGHT NOW.
I always liked how the door opens differently for each of them, depending on some part of what makes the gems themselves.
For Garnet, the for opens after two different lines meet and become one.
For Amethyst, it opens all sloppily and mushy.
For Pearl, it opens in a similar way to a futuristic spaceship.
Later on, we’ll see that it opens up like a curtain for Sardonix, and...dang. I forgot what the door does to open up Rose’s room.
And just like that, Finn has accepted Grass Finn as himself...which isn't as bad as that sounds. He has experience with alternate selves, and had gone through so much that at this point this isn't the weirdest thing he's come to accept.
I came up with this comparison last night. How do ya like it?
There's the part of her that actually cares for her family! And all it took was Jake getting hurt...There should be a joke, but I seem to blank out right now.
“Steven!’
“Where?!”
Aw...Bird Mom is always adorable.
Alright! I looked up the transcript! here’s the quote:
“These Shards have a powerful partial consciousness that has been harnessed by Gems throughout history in order to create semi-sentient drone soldiers with the capacity to follow basic orders. Gems once created an army of these drones, but found their obedience waned as the shards overdeveloped inside their uniforms and turned on their commanders. You see, any shard imprinted by any sort of container could become a monster. That’s why it’s very, very important it’s kept away from any kind of garment!”
Alright, so I don’t know anything about the garment magnetism thing, but at least I can get something more out of this. I guess this explains why not all crystals that appear under the use of the gems are sentient rocks. Like the warp pad, or the old space ship’s defense mechanisms, and the kindergarten injectors. Still, keep in mind that THIS is a result of their old tech. The ability to create Artificial Intelligence and placing them into shards to create drone soldiers. Imagine how this must’ve worked during the Gem War.
Now that I think on it, I actually want Steven to get sent back in time to see the old Gem Rebellion. I mean, I know they’re not gonna do that in the show, but I’m sure someone might get the idea to play with the concept. *hint hint*
WELL THEN. That...That was awesome.
I’m surprised that worked, but nonetheless it was awesome.
