Strange things started happening.
On the fourth of July, strange things started happening as the pretty girls walked by.
you spin me right round baby right round like a record baby right round round
Delirious on Oxygen and Laughing Gas...
So basically my friend dislocated her knee, and when the paramedics were transporting her to the hospital they gave her oxygen mixed with laughing gas.
They warned her she would get all high.
But she swore she wasn't.
Then she started singing Exo"Baaaaaby don't crrrrrrryyy"... and was like "Sing for me!"
Poor paramedic that rode in the back with us....he must have been like what is up with these girls....
The most fun 5 hours hours in A&E ever ^^
Halfway Hotel....a strange song, but a memorable one.
dammmm!
Daphne
So, at work today, I volunteered to work at the "pot sink," where all of the toughest dishes are washed by hand instead of in the giant dishwasher. It's typically a male's job, known as the dirtiest one there. (Secret: it's really not that bad!)
I worked with another friend who's a student and also a full-timer; a middle-aged woman named Daphne. Daphne is a hilariously loud woman known for her crazy singing during work. My friend and I were talking about something related to Jesus, and Daphne fearlessly asked, "What religion are you two?"
I answered that I was a Christian, allowing my friend to answer for himself, and he did; he told her basically that it was more than a title, that it was a lifestyle. We then spent a good hour sharing stories and joys about Jesus. We talked about who He is, what He's done in our lives personally. I think that the three of us were equally and very grateful for such an opportunity; she thought it was awesome that two college kids spent all of our love on the Lord, and we rejoiced in the redemption evident in her life.
She was so thrilled, and said more than once, "It's so great that He's snatched you up so early in life." She was excited for us that, no matter how far we might stray in the future, we have the knowledge of the Lord, and that will always point us back on the narrow path.
Jesus is so creative. He's the one who commanded me to love my neighbor as myself; so I tried to obey that command by volunteering for this dirty job. All-too-obvious example of how the Lord's commands bring us joy instead of hindering it.
