Had a great time last night getting some much needed work done on the TH10 or “The Derp Mower” that dude seriously needs to get some donating in. We did pull off some bow witches though and some gohobo hahaha. What is that???
Fighting my way through #crazyarmy (at Granby Street, Leicester)
Played spot the rudiment and colour coded Crazy Army to make it easier to play. Blue = flam taps; red = paradiddles; green = flamacues; grey = flam; yellow = seven stroke roll; orange = not technically a rudiment but a pattern repeated through the latter part of the solo.

During this very interesting video about taking inspiration from Elvin Jones’ style, Hannah Johnson mentions his use of a particular ancient drum solo also played by Steve Gadd - Crazy Army. The solo utilises flamacues, flam taps and seven stroke rolls. Would be nice to make a long term project out of studying this.
