yeah, that's fine
It was an unusually peaceful night. Splinter had spent most of his day drinking that strange drink that smelled funny. Usually, this would mean screaming and yelling hurtful things that would haunt the young turtle's mind for years. It meant even harsher training sessions where he seemed to enjoy making Raph cry and scream more than usual. But, tonight, Splinter locked himself in his room with an explict warning that they were not to enter. Leo could hear banging and cursing every once in a while and was sometimes tempted to help his master (he was leader after all! It was his job!), but he knew that to make Splinter proud, he had to be quiet just like he wanted. He dreamed of Splinter looking at him with a proud smile and calling him son like the human families he saw on the TV Donnie had recently fixed up. He yearned to be able to call Splinter 'daddy' and to be pat on the head like the kids on TV. The thing that brought him hope was to hear those three little words, not the mean ones he often heard at his direction, those terrible words: 'I hate you,' but those wonderful, magical words, 'I love you.' And maybe if he was good enough, he'd hear them. Maybe Splinter was just sorta like Donnie, who never talked much, but when Leo would bring him back bugs and sometimes tiny rats, Donnie's face would perk up slightly in what could only be called happiness. Leo just had to find the thing that made Splinter happy.
So, he rallied his brothers around the TV in hopes this would keep them quiet. He turned it down low, which made Mikey instantly complain.
"Leo, I can't hear!" Mikey whined, "Turn it up!"
"Shhh!" Leo warned, glancing fearfully at the doorway, "We have to be quiet! Splinter said so!"
Mikey pouted, crossing his arms with a huff. He groaned dramatically, slouching in his seat. Leo giggled lightly and patted his brother on the head. This seemed to appease Mikey, who cuddled up close to Leo. Leo smiled, wrapping an arm around Mikey. It was so tiring sometimes having to make sure his brothers were good and did what Splinter wanted, espescially energetic Mikey who couldn't seem to focus, which often made him a target for Splinter's abuse. Leo grabbed the remote, flipping stations like Donnie had showed him. There weren't many stations. but Leo was able to find a channel that played old cartoons that he enjoyed. He paused in his flipping as he heard a melody he had never heard before. The bright color almost blinded him and even Donnie let out a little, "ohhh" of awe at the bright display before them. It was a building filled to the brim with toys, the celigns and walls decorated with bright green plants so different from the algae Leo was used to seeing in the sewers. A tree with so many lights Leo had to blink was in the corner of the room. Leo had never seen so many lights in his life! Splinter didn't like lots of lights because they said it gave him headaches.
"What is it?" Leo whispered in awe. The camera panned to a corner of the toy store where a large chair was set up and on it sat a smiling man with a silly red outfit. Leo scooched to the edge of the couch to get a closer look, eyes wide.
"Santa is coming to town!" The TV announced, "That's right! It's that time of year again! Santa's been making his list and checking it twice to make sure all the good little boys and girls of the world get everything they've hoped for. So come on down to the New York Mall with your list to see the big guy himself!" the camera panned to a close-up of the jolly old man who gave a happy, hearty 'ho-ho-ho!'
Leo's eyes widened. What he hoped for....could this Santa really grant his deepest wish? To have his father love him? To have his brother's happy?
"Leo?" Raph asked in a quiet voice, "What's a 'ho-ho-ho'?"
"I don't know," Leo whispered, now more in awe than for fear of waking Splinter, "Did you hear? he can grant our hopes...."
"You don't seriously believe that, do you?" Donnie scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"Don't say that!" Leo yelled, almost panicking, "What if Santa doesn't come because you've been bad! We need to be good to get our hopes granted." He stared again at the TV, enchanted. It was everything he wished for. All he needed to do was be good and everything would be ok. Santa would come and give him his gift. And maybe it would make Splinter happy! He just had to be better....had to be good. Maybe that was the problem. Splinter always told him he wasn't good. He was just a stupid animal who couldn't do anything right. All he had to do was to everything right then. He would take care of his brothers and do everything Splinter said and maybe one day they'd all be happy. All of them. He just had to be good.

Rev!Leo's audition tape
Leo ducked his head, shaking all over as his eyes darted everywhere but to the camera. “Oh-uh…” he stuttered, hardly loud enough for anyone to hear, “H-hello…I’m…” he gulped, “Leo…um…I’m here because Ella is…uh…my princess and I love her…” he squeaked nervously, his head moving almost inside his shell, “And Donnie said this was the way to…uh…win her heart, if she…uh wants. Also, he said he’d kill me if I didn’t…”
Leo’s eyes darted open, jumping up as the door on the side of the room squeaked open. His breathing became heavy, his eyes wide. With an animalistic growl he jumped at the intruder. The sounds of heavy struggle could be heard of camera, with screams of, “No-no, L-Leo, please, don’t hurt me! No! Stop! That h-hurts!”
“Oh Raphie…” Leo sang in a high pitched voice, giggling softly, almost innocently, “That was a mistake!” The sound of a sword swiping at an object could be heard, along with a high pitched squeal. Then, there was silence but for the sound of quiet sniffling. Leo then emerged slowly, his eyes wide and red, breathing heavily, blood coating his body. He held a bloodied sword in his hand. His mouth perked up in a crazed grin and he started laughing a wild, howling laugh and flung the sword at the camera.
