WinterHawk Gone with the wind au
Gonna be real with you, I know that Gone With The Wind exists, but I got no clue what it is or what it’s about. I’m no help for this one. :,)
I wrote a fic about this pic awhile ago, can I submit it for funday?
Generally we prefer new works for prompts, but also this is a blog for fun and not for profit, so go wild tbh
Seconding the Hiddleson Rom Com. Can it be one where his clothes keep falling off?
There’s a knock on his hotel room door, and he answers it, freshly showered and wrapped in just a towel. A stretch of empty hallway greets him in return. Stepping out farther, he looks up and down for any sign of who had knocked, but there’s no one. Nothing. Except for the snap of the door behind him.
He closes his eyes and sighs heavily. Locked out.
And worse still, when he takes a resigned step toward the elevator to ask the front desk for another key, his towel does not follow him.
Caught. In the door.
He tries his best to tug at it without giving up the modest coverage he’s managed to maintain, but it won’t budge.
Why does this always happen to him? He has the worst luck of anyone he’s ever met, and it always manages to manifest itself in the most embarrassing possible ways.
If he didn’t have a meeting in less than an hour, perhaps he could just remain here, half-covered until someone else happened by who could help him. But he doesn’t have time, so his only choice is to abandon the towel to seek out help on his own. He looks up and down the hall for anything he could use instead--a housekeeping cart full of fresh laundry, a curtain over a window, even a room service tray would do--but there’s nothing. No housekeepers. No windows. No room service. Just him and the unhelpful stretch of fabric he’ll have to abandon if he wants to make his meeting and keep his job.
Next door, he realizes. He’d heard the television next door when he’d stepped out of the shower only minutes ago. Someone must be in, and perhaps they would let him borrow a towel. If he doesn’t scare them away by knocking on their door in the nude of course. Only one way to find out. He takes a deep breath, covers himself with his hands as best he can, and steps away from his door...
How do we swap out squares?
As it says in the email, please email us back ([email protected]) and let us know which squares you want swapped out. Please include your letter/number/prompt for each square, and do not forget to include your card number.
Is there a word count minimum? Would you please post a posting format example.
Hi! There is no minimum word count for this event. You can write as little or as much as you want.
As for the posting example, if you mean about how to state which day & prompts you used in your writing, we just ask you include one of the example below either before your fic begins or at the end of the fic so we know and can tag the day correctly when we reblog it.
October 1st - Harvest/Festivals/Carnivals
Day 3: “Come on, let me scare a few trick-or-treaters.” & Eternal Relationship
October 16 - the haunting image of spindly, bare trees

IMPORTANT EDIT MADE BY MOD PEANUT:
There actually is a format when it comes to posting fics on Tumblr. HERE is a link to an old post that shows fic formatting. This format should be done since it provides others information about what a work entails so they can avoid it if there’s something they aren’t comfortable with.
Can more than one person claim the same stocking?
Yup! More deets from the FAQ:
What is claiming? Each stocking has a “Claim” button on it. You can claim a stocking to show that you intend to fill it with a gift. There is no limit to the number of claims a stocking can have and no limit to the number of stockings one person can claim. We do ask that if you know you will not be able to complete a gift, you remove your claim so we can see which stockings need the most love.
