O - one wish?

Hmm I really hope I can meet up with my friends in person soon and do something big and fun bc I miss them a lot? It feels like a simple wish but I’d very much like for it to happen. OH and I’d like to meet my mutuals in person someday 💕

W - worst fear?

Being alone. Honestly I’m terrified that I won’t be able to meet people and make friends outside of a school setting but idk hopefully it’ll work itself out

Hi mars!! I’m in nursing school and I’m considering taking a semester off bc of covid and schooling... do you think it’s a bad idea to take a semester off since I’ve started my nursing courses? As someone who’s been in nursing school and taken the NCLEX, do you feel like it would be hard to get back into school in January and graduate/take the NCLEX two months later than I’ve planned? I’ve completed 3 nursing courses so far... thank you 💓

Totally up to you and I’d recommend talking to an academic advisor or student affairs person but! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking some time off. I knew of people who did that in my nursing school for various reasons... even in our last year! It would almost be something to consider doing since going to hospital clinicals may be severely limited because hospitals are restricting to conserve PPE supply.

Important to check in with yourself and be sure that you’ll pick back up with your work when the time comes... it’s a short period of time but some people don’t want to get out of the “school mode”.

As for taking the NCLEX, most people do some kind of big review once nursing school ends— I did a course and then studied for a month or so, so don’t let that hold you back. You’ll get your study time in, but just keep in mind you’re pushing your timeline back. Right now, the main concern is just finishing nursing school and sometimes you do need time off!
