Firstly, your art makes me smile every time I see it. Secondly, I've always loved to draw, but then I see other amazing art and never want to pick up a pencil again. Do you ever feel this way? What keeps you motivated?

Firstly, thank you so much!

Secondly, only all the time. I never exactly feel like I never want to pick up a pencil again, but I do feel awestruck and humbled by the art I see from day to day. The thing is, there's always going to be someone better than you. What you have to remember, though, is that you have something to offer. 

You are the only one on this planet that can draw like you do. You have your own process, you're own eye for details, your own flair. Just because you draw something differently doesn't mean it's not inspirational to someone else.

Keep your chin up. Keep at it. You never know who might appreciate it. =)

Firstly, I adore you and your art so much! Secondly, this is really random, but it made me laugh so I thought I'd share it with you. A few nights ago, I had a dream that there was going to be a live-action adaptation of "The Little Mermaid" and Benedict was going to be Ursula and now I can't stop picturing it XD

You know he would totally nail it, though. Just…imagine a Khan-like persona with tentacles. And swishy hair in the water. And singing/commanding with that Smaug voice of his, “Now…sing.”
