Awe thats really too bad :( can you talk to her? How is she when you are around the nephew and playing with her in the room? Hope it’s sll a misunderstanding.
She's fine with me around him. Whenever I see him she hands him over to me. She'll leave the room and not think anything of it. Even though she has a niece and 3 nephews on her side of the family she has been very, very protective of him. My husband was down there the other day and he made the slightest of a cry and she swooped in and picked him up. When he cries even the slightest when anyone is holding him she takes them from them. She'll take him from her sisters if he's crying. Mind you my nephew is almost 1 and he's gotten used to her doing that so he knows how to play the game. I found out from one of her sisters that even though she has the niece and nephews she never really watched them when they were smaller.
It's a hard thing to talk to her about. Not sure why but she's put restrictions on when my father-in-law is allowed to be at the house but we've seen her family all there when my father-in-law wasn't allowed to be there.
I think some of it has to do with the fact that she's a school teacher and see feels guilty for not being home with him, so she wants all the time possible with him and no ones allowed around. I've barely seen them this summer.
I know I'm not a mom so it's hard for me to say anything but I grew up watching my cousins since they were babies, used to teach 2 year olds and have been a nanny since college, so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing and I follow all rules she puts in place when I'm there.
It's just frustrating for sure. Sorry that was a long response.
